They have a wholerange of inclusive activities with new events beingadded all the time. Out & About is a group of specialist organisations (lead by WECIL) whowork together to provide inclusive sessions and support for Disabled andSEND children and young people, including short breaks. The servicesthey offer are specifically tailored to meet the needs of the individuals inthe sessions.Bristol Parent Carers also have our very own SEND events calendar whichis bursting with free & low cost events for children of all ages and theirparents and carers too. This a collaborative project where you will findeverything from inclusive sports events to online webinars.SEND Practice Leadership TeamBristol City Council (BCC) is dedicated to improvingsupport for children with special educational needsand disabilities (SEND). They are doing this in twoways: Firstly, they are looking at the level of needlocally, in order to better allocate places in specialistprovision. Secondly, BCC are establishing a new SEND Practice Leadership Team toassist families in transition from alternative provisions back to localmainstream or specialist schools where appropriate.
