It is just a few miles down stream of thelocation where Lewis and Clark began their historic journey to explore the NorthwestTerritory. Post 444 was chartered in 1946 by 77 veterans returning home from World War II. ThePost's home is located on nine and a half acres. It has two major buildings and severalsmaller buildings. The Post Hall is used for post meetings, social functions, fish fries, bingo,and rental space for weddings and other private parties.
