The April 1998 revision detailed the parts updates since the leaflet was first released in 1989. Information regarding computers, monitors, and Windows software was new in that revision. The April 1999 revision added a machine room interface assembly and updated a part number listing. The 2001 revision covered AEA07155AAB arrangement, and details the changes of cable assembly and computers. The 2005 version covers AFA07155AAB arrangement, details cable assembly, computer monitors, serial interface apparatus changes, and notes the limited support for DOS EMS. NOTE: DOS EMS can no longer be supported. Service parts for discontinued apparatus will be furnished until stock is exhausted. Technical support will be limited. These terminals are no longer available. The replacement part number includes a personal computer (PC) loaded with terminal emulation software, a monitor, and cable assembly. Refer to TIP 27.5-11, EMS EMSTERM Program and Instruction, for further information on PCs with terminal emulation software. For lobby display applications, the new terminal is compatible only with EMS versions 2.1 and higher. The system must be upgraded before the new parts can be used. Upgrading to version 2.1.8 is recommended; refer to TIP 27.5-10, EMS Version 2.1.8 Upgrade Instruction, for upgrade instructions. If the upgrade cannot be done in the field, contact OSC. Fire station applications will run on all software versions.
