OUR MISSION Nth Dimensions Nth a nonprofit corporation has successfully worked towards eliminating healthcare disparities by diversifying the physician workforce To fulfill this mission Nth Dimensions partners with medical professionals and organizations in specialties with a significant shortage of women and underrepresented minorities Through innovation and collaboration Nth Dimensions creates competitive residency applicants and provides consistent and successful pipeline programs in these fields
PHASE 01 EARLY EXPOSURE A key component to the success of the Nth Dimensions pipeline program is the Nth Dimensions Summer Internship that pairs first year medical students with a specialty specific physician for an eight week immersive clinical and summer research experience PHASE 03 EDUCATION ENCOURAGEMENT Nth Dimensions provides ongoing support for residents and fellows as they navigate their training A disproportionate number of underrepresented residents are dismissed from residencies every year our goal is for all of our residents to finish the programs they start PHASE 05 ENRICHMENT Nth Dimensions provides early exposure through Clinical Correlations and Bioskills Workshops in Orthopaedic Surgery Dermatology Radiology Pathology Physical Medicine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy These interactive workshops allow students to participate in hands on experiences they may not otherwise have access to discovering as women and underrepresented minorities PHASE 02 HANDS ON EXPERIENCE Nth Dimensions provides continuing professional development including scholarships for medical students to attend the AAOS or AAD annual meeting Students participate in workshops and panel discussions to make them successful candidates for competitive residencies PHASE 04 STRATEGIC MENTORSHIP Nth Dimensions understands that residents frequently are not exposed to the nuances of professional life after residency We provide ongoing opportunities for our scholars to succeed beyond the exam room
NTH is eliminating health disparities by diversifying the physician workforce At least 1 of every 3 35 black practicing orthopaedic surgeons nationwide have participated in Nth Dimensions in various roles 1 3 RESIDENCY PROGRAM The average Nth Dimensions Residency Match Rate for the last five years is 92 92 FEMALE NTH SCHOLAR Female Nth Dimensions Scholars are 45X more likely to apply to an Orthopaedic Residency 45X Through the generous support of our academic partners and industry sponsors we are currently helping and have helped over 400 women and underrepresented minority Nth Scholars and Affiliates to achieve their dream of becoming physicians and surgeons in specialty fields 104 Nth Dimensions has matched 104 underrepresented minority men and women into orthopaedic surgery residency programs We are excited to celebrate our first Dermatology match class in 2023
