DIRECTOR’S NOTES My wife and I saw NICE WORK in 2012 with the original cast and loved it. The show has no other message than “have a great me!,” and we did! While all of the music comes from the genius collaboraon of the Gershwin Brothers, the book is brand new and up to date with plenty of laughs to go around. When a slot opened two years ago for this season’s lineup, we were sll coming out of the darkness of the COVID crisis – businesses of all kinds were sll closing or closed, some forever, and our country had lost hundreds of thousands of people to the virus. The last thing I wanted to direct was something heavy and depressing, and NICE WORK came immediately to mind as the show to put up. I remembered laughing and enjoying myself for 2 ½ solid hours of frivolous entertainment, and that’s what I wanted to bring to the Barn’s stage. Laughter heals many ills. I have a tremendous cast, an outstanding sta and amazing musicians – all we needed was YOU to bring the show to life. I hope I/we have succeeded in bringing to you the same enjoyment I experienced 12 years ago at the Imperial Theater. Thank You for coming out to see us and enjoy the show!! WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST Mahew Cox (Vice Squad) - Ma is thrilled to make his debut with the Barn Playhouse! Previous roles include Eugene Morris Jerome in Biloxi Blues, (Main St. Theatre), Jason in Falseos, (Villager's Theatre), and Ensemble in Les Miserables, (Villager's Theatre). When not onstage, he enjoys wring, traveling, seeing new shows, as well as spending me with friends and family. Ma would like to thank Steve and the rest of the sta for giving him this opportunity, as well as his castmates for providing a ton of fun memories. Tony DeCarlo (Cookie) - Tony is excited to be taking the stage, once again, at the Barn. Previous Barn producons include She Loves Me (Sipos), Rock of Ages (Ensemble), Legally Blonde(Professor Callahan), Something Roen (Nostradamus), First Date (the Waiter and some other “interesng” parts), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Vice Principal Panch). In Fall 2021, he performed in the Barn’s musical theater showcase A Night of Broadway. A veteran of the stage, Tony has performed in numerous producons over many years. Among his previous credits, some of his favorites are Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd, Pippin in Pippin, John Adams in 1776, Simon Zealots in Jesus Christ Superstar, Baby John in West Side Story, Richard Miller in Ah, Wilderness!, Jimmy Farrell in Playboy of the Western World, and Bertram Cates in Inherit the Wind. Tony is a commercial banker by day and lives in Bryn Mawr with his wife, daughter, excitable corgi, and beleaguered cat. Tony would like to thank the cast and crew for their support, his family for their love and encouragement, and you, dear theater goers, for supporng local community theater. Erika Dandridge (Eileen Evergreen) - Erika is thrilled to be making her Barn debut! Recent roles/shows include: Disenchanted (Ariel), Nunsense (Sister Mary Leo), Mamma Mia! (Ali), Godspell (Ensemble), Jekyll & Hyde (Red Rat Dancer), Company (Susan), and The Wedding Singer (Holly). She is the Associate Director of Programs & Development at Acng Without Boundaries, a non-prot theatre program for people with physical disabilies. Erika has over 6 years of direcng experience for students grades 5-8 at Faceme Theatre. Erika would like to thank the producon team for their kindness and support, her family and friends for always supporng her theatrical endeavors and most importantly her husband, Josh, who will always listen to every audion song or monologue she asks him to. Kellen Wise (Vice Squad) - Kellen is so excited to be in his rst show since high school! However, you may have seen him previously in his long-standing role as Audience Member of any of his ancée Natalie's shows. He's had so much fun working with this wonderful cast on this hilarious show and it's been the perfect reintroducon to the theater. “Thanks to Nat and the family for all the encouragement and condence to join up with the best speakeasy destroying squad in the business." WHO’S WHO ON THE PRODUCTION TEAM Steve Arcidiacono (Director, Set Design) - Steve has been performing and direcng for more than 45 years in every aspect of the business - theater, lm, television, and radio. A member of SAG/AFTRA, he has performed in many local and area theaters, with his favorite Barn roles including Max in The Producers, and Gomez in The Addams Family. Nice Work is the 50th show Steve has directed and fourth here at the Barn, the others being A Lile Night Music in 2012, Spamalot in 2015 and First Date in 2019. Married with three adult children and a proud grandfather, his favorite vacaon spot is home. “My thanks to my amazing cast, wonderful sta, and the enre producon team for a wonderful experience, but especially to my wife Karen for her connued support!” Laura Burhans (Music Director) - Laura is delighted to reprise her role as Music Director. She wants to thank Steve for inving her back despite having worked with her many mes before. Laura likes to believe that over her forty some year career at the Barn, she has played more right notes than wrong. When she is not making music, you can usually nd her making a mess of something or other. Diane Hodgkiss (Choreographer) - Diane is delighted to be back at the Barn working with such a talented cast on a show lled with so many Gershwin classics. Most recent choreography credits include Tuck Everlasng and Jekyll & Hyde at Faceme Theater, and Legally Blonde at the Barn. Other favorites at the Barn include Spamalot, Curtains and The Addams Family. Diane would like to thank Steve for the opportunity and exibility, as well as the cast and rest of the producon team for their dedicaon. "As always, love to Jim, Kelsey, Greg and Mary!”

Jennifer Smith (Dance Captain, Chorus Girl) - Nice Work marks show number 8 at the Barn Playhouse for Jenn. Previous Barn credits include Ilona in She Loves Me and Allison in First Date. Other favorite past roles include Lucy in Bright Star (Jenkintown Music Theater), Casey in First Date (Spotlight), Jovie in Elf (Willow Manor) and Lucy T. Slut in Avenue Q (KOPP). Thanks to family and friends for their connued support. Natalie Starr (Chorus Girl) - Natalie is so happy to be in her rst show at the Barn! She is even happier that she convinced her ancé Kellen to perform with her. Natalie was last seen choreographing Methacton Community Theater’s Cozy Cabaret and onstage in Malda, also at MCT. Outside of theater, Natalie enjoys crochet, reading, and cuddling with her cats. Jericho “JJ” Trainor (He/Him) (Chorus Girl/Midge) - This is JJ’s rst show at the Barn, and he couldn’t be more excited to be working with such an amazing cast and crew! Aer a brief intermission from acng, JJ is ecstac to be back on the stage. JJ is a part me student at Delaware County Community College, where he is pursuing a major in Theater. He’d like to thank his family for their support, especially his father, for driving him to and from rehearsal every week. Thanks Dad! Vince Vuono (Duke) - Vince is thrilled to be returning to the Barn for his sixth (at least!) show! Vince has previously been seen in Legally Blonde (Emme), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Chip), and Something Roen (Shylock). Vince has also been seen in The Rocky Horror Show (Eddie) at Footlighters Theater, in Crazy for You (Eugene) and The Wedding Singer (Sammy) at Narberth Community Theater, and in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder (ensemble) and Yo, Vikings! (Sebby) at Players Club of Swarthmore. Vince would like to thank the enre cast and crew for an amaz-ing experience, as well as his family, including his wonderful wife Cassidy. Connor Wells (Vice Squad) - Connor is excited to be back at the Barn for his second producon. Connor’s previous producons include: Nice Work If You Can Get It - Conestoga High School, Footloose - The Barn Playhouse, Pippin - Conestoga High School, Cabaret - American University. He is grateful for the new friends he’s made throughout this producon and looks forward to pre-senng this amazing show! Joy DiIenno (Millicent Winter) - Aer a lifeme performing in school and community producons, Joy took a 17-year hiatus. In April 2023, Joy dipped her toe back into the community theater pool, as Missy Hart/Ensemble in 9 to 5 the Musical at Jenkintown Music Theatre, and is excited to appear for the rst me on the Barn stage. When not reveling in the “smell of the greasepaint, the roar of the crowd”, Joy works in learning and development at a large pharmaceucal company. She loves to travel, compete in trivia nights, and dine out. Joy is the “favorite aunt” (at least that’s what she tells them!) to her 7 nieces and nephews. She’d like to thank her family and friends for their love and support, especially Chrissy Breeman, who encouraged her to keep audioning! She dedicates her performance in this show to those she’s lost this year, her aunt, Micki, and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Lucky. Jennifer Dinan (Duchess Estonia Dulworth) - Jennifer has been a staple on area stages for decades. Most recently in 2023 as Grandma in The Addams Family at Steel River Playhouse. In 2022 she was Melissa in Love Leers at Barleysheaf, Desiree in A Lile Night Music at Playcraers in Skippack, Charloe Haye in Moon Over Bualo at Footlighters and Georgee in It Shoulda Been You here at The Barn in 2018. In addion she's now co-direcng the HS musicals in Phoenixville. This year’s producon was The Secret Garden. The fun and circle of friends through her involvement connues to grow. Live theater is always a thrill and delight! Alex Eldridge (Senator Max Evergreen) - Alex is thrilled to join the Barn Playhouse for the rst me, and to enter a rich 90-year tradion of community theater! Alex last performed as Mahews in Elf with Willow Manor Players (Fall 2023). Before that, there was a long dry spell of (checks calendar) 48 years, before he could no longer contain the urge to sing and dance and get other people to laugh out loud. There were clues - 4 years as a radio reporter and producer, 6 years on television news, 4 years in a church choir – that he liked to make a scene in public, but now he has ocially plunged back into the wonderful world of musical theater. Shout outs and special thanks to the Steves, the Dianes and Laura for this amazing opportunity and for their expert guidance, thanks also to his wife and script reader Beth, family and friends, and all the wonderful new folks he is fortunate to join in the show. Lastly, Alex wants you to know that despite what you may see on stage, he treats ALL his servants (presently zero) with courtesy and respect.

Page 10

Rob Frankel (Jimmy Winter) - Rob sll has problems wring bios that don't contain curse words, but thanks to an implanted chip that administers an electric shock whenever he swears, he's able to get through an enre sentence without issue! While he does miss pouring gallons of "washable" fake blood on cast and audience members, he takes great pleasure in ailing about on stage and occasionally sping out the correct words. Much love to his family and friends for all their support and to an incredible cast and crew for pung up with his *bzzzz*. And as always a huge shout out to his amazing pup, Leeloo Dallas Mulpass. Michael lives in Jeersonville and thanks his wife Elyse for her loving support. Maddi Sloan (Chorus Girl) - Maddi is excited to be back at the Barn for her 16th producon! She is thrilled to be breaking out her dancing shoes again, for this hilariously fun show. Favorite past roles include Bea in Something Roen! (Barn Playhouse), Meg March in Lile Women (Playcraers), Gloria in Boeing Boeing (Faceme Theater), and the soprano of the Angel City Four in City of Angels (MCT). Thanks so much to the cast, crew, and producon team for making this a show to remember!

More recently, Dee prefers behind the scenes, with favorite shows being That Championship Season, Man of La Mancha, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Curtains, First Date, and Legally Blonde, all at The Barn Playhouse. Dee serves as Recording Secretary for the Dramateurs. When not at the Barn, she works as a Learning Advisor for a large pharmaceucal company. Her favorite roles connue to be as John’s leading lady, as Mom to the awesome JW, amazing Aubrey, and perfect daughter-in law Sabrina, and as indulgent caretaker to 2 gooall pups.
