On February 2nd, we remembered our brother, Officer Eric Mumaw at the Peeler park memorial dedication which was well attended by FOP members, citizens and public officials.
Law Enforcement United shirts are now available for sale! All of the proceeds generated from these shirts will assist our brothers and sisters on the Road to Hope, which is the annual bicycle ride to raise money for Law Enforcement United and its supported police related charities! FOP 2ndVice President Allen Herald was awarded the 2020 Herman Statum Award of Excellence for his years of service and dedication to our community. This is the first time the ASIS organization has awarded a recipient outside of their organization. Congratulations Allen, this is very well deserved!
Mark your calendars for the annual ASIS charity golf tournament which will be held on Friday, May 22nd! Each year, proceeds generated from this tournament go to fund the FOP’s charity project, the Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp! Thank you for contacting your representatives and senators. The Spencer Bristol Act has passed out of its respectivecommittees and is now well on its way to becoming law but our work is not finished. Please continue to contact your representatives and encourage their support of this legislation.
At the beginning of the legislative session, the Nashville FOP began working with the TN State FOP and others to draft legislation that would offer Peer Supporters confidentiality when acting in their official capacity. After months of hard work, we are proud to have this legislation finally filed! There is more work to be done before this becomes law! Please keep aneye out for important updates and requests for assistance inyour inbox soon!
