Carbs are the main source of energy for your body. It helps the body control protein and fat metabolism. Carbs that don't absorb as quickly as they should can be bad for you. People should have about 55% to 60% of their diet be carbs.

Carbs can be found in all types of food.


Fats are a concentrated energy from the foods that we eat. Fats can also be a form of stored proteins and carbs. They sometimes act carriers for some vitamins. Fats help by reducing bad cholestrol in our blood.You're not supposed to have more than 30% of your diet be fats.
