Metro DenverNeighborhood InformationThe Mile High CityDenver – the “Mile High City” at 5,280 feet of elevation -- boasts over 300 days a year of sunshine. The city covers 154 square miles and has a current population of over 635,000 people. The seven county metro Denver area (Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomeld, Douglas and Jefferson counties) has over three million people. Even though it is less than a two-hour drive to Colorado’s legendary ski resorts, (such as Vail and Breckenridge) there’s plenty to keep you closer to home – world class museums, sports teams and shopping. Living in one of Denver’s many “in-town” neighborhoods, as well as the many adjacent suburban cities and towns, gives you easy access to all Denver has to offer. The metro area’s neighborhoods are diverse and unique; each has its own history, well-known and well-loved buildings, architectural styles, parks, shops and open spaces. To try to characterize them here would do them injustice – they have to be seen to be enjoyed. We will help you find a home in an area that meets your criteria based on your price range and specific needs and wants. Perry & Co. has three offices to serve you – two in central Denver, and one in Greenwood Village, which serves the south suburban metro area. We’ve hand-selected a few of our favorite neighborhoods for you to learn about as you begin your search.Cost of Living Adjustment Calculator: http://money.cnn.com/calculator/pf/cost-of-living/index.html Schools:  http://schooldistrictnder.com/ https://www.greatschools.org/ https://www.niche.com/ Recreation: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g33388-Activities-Denver_Colorado.html Childcare: www.childcareaware.org Eldercare: http://www.coeldercare.com/ Healthcare: https://colorado-healthplans.com Utility Information: Xcel Energy - Gas Service: https://www.xcelenergy.com/ Internet & Telephone - CenturyLink: https://www.centurylink.com/ Cable, Internet & Telephone - Comcast/Xnity:https://my.xnity.com/Helpful Links2

ActivitiesWhat are your favorite things to do?Matthews/Winters Park“One of my favorite Front Range trail runs is the Matthews Winters Trail in Jefferson County, located just off of I-70 and Hwy 6, north of Red Rocks. I run south into Red Rocks Park, take the road down to Hwy 6, cross the Hwy to the ‘dinosaur ridge’, which is actually the Dakota Ridge Trail. I take that north back up near I-70 and down back to my car in the Matthews Winters parking lot. This is a wonderful 8-mile loop. There are many trails in the Red Rocks area and this is just one option but it certainly makes for a gorgeous backdrop to run.”– Brad Colburn, Broker AssociateFossil Trace“I love playing Fossil Trace Golf Course in Golden, CO. This course can be challenging, but even for me, an average golfer, I can make birdies and pars! Very well maintained and groomed – It has a country club feel at an affordable price. GPS golf carts with playing tips help tremendously! The course has beautiful views – fossils can be seen next to the 12th green. Elk, deer, wild turkey, foxes can be seen as you play through. Afterwards, we always eat at the Three Tomatoes Restaurant, which is delicious!”– Celia Chavez, Transaction ManagerSki Mountains“Colorado is of course known for its legendary ski resorts such as Vail and Breckenridge, but with so many to choose from, we encourage you to visit a few others. Whether you’re visiting for a summer day-hike or winter ski season, each mountain offers breathtaking views that you will be sure to enjoy and fall in love with. Our Managing Broker, Jennifer Schell Young, says, “you can’t beat a day at Vail, but also check out Eldora Mountain, Loveland, Arapahoe Basin and Keystone.”Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater“From music concerts to hiking trails and Yoga on the Rocks, Red Rocks is home to a variety of events. At 6,450 feet above sea level, catching a concert at Red Rocks is a must-do bucket list item in Denver. Fun fact: Red Rocks Amphitheater was once listed among the Seven Wonders of the World. It is also the only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheater in the world.”18
