We are uniquely blessed to have sisters and priests actively involvedin our school. For example, Fr. Accursio Coaccio is the middle school theologyteacher and puts on retreats, and our pastor, Fr. Emanuele Fadini regularlymakes classroom visits and celebrates Mass with us.The Fraternity has its origins in the charism of Fr. Luigi Giussani, founder of themovement of Communion and Liberation. The priests of the Fraternity livetogether, and the communion among them is meant to sustain their dailymissionary work, inform how they live their priesthood, and be a path towardsconversion.The congregation of the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo was born in2005 from the desire of a few young women to share the ideals of the PriestlyFraternity of St. Charles. The sisters are a meaningful presence in the schooland a model of joy and love. Sister Marilú Arbesú is our vice principal andwalks alongside students, such as with weekly small group girls’ lunches andattending field trips. As instructional leader, the principal plans, prepares, and evaluates the instructionalprogram to achieve well-defined goals and meet instructional needs; encourages instructionwhich meets the various needs and abilities of the students; facilitates the professionalgrowth of faculty and staff, and builds upon a very strong foundation of academic excellencethat has been a hallmark of an education at the school.As organizational leader, the principal selects, supervises, and evaluates staff; providesleadership for school accreditation and strategic planning efforts; ensures effective andrelevant use of personnel resources and physical plant; works with the advisory groups toimplement policies and practices; plans the school budget in dialogue with parishleadership team.As entrepreneurial leader, the principal is responsible for sustainable financial planning,human resource/personnel management, professional formation, facilities maintenanceand enhancement, institutional advancement, and contemporary communication.As community leader, the principal works with the faculty and staff to develop andencourage broad family and student participation in the total school program; keeps theparish and community informed about the school's programs; and is responsible forcommunicating the philosophy of the school to the public.THE PRINCIPALSHIP
The successful candidate must be someone who: Is a practicing and active Catholic who shows an understanding and commitment to the mission of Catholiceducation and can embrace the goals of Nativity Faith and Reason school community Has a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) and/or demonstrated leadership skillswithin an educational and/or corporate setting Exercises leadership and vision Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication skills Develops and fosters the unique charism of the Nativity: Faith and Reason community, including the parish,students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and donors Contributes time and effort to institutional advancement: admissions, marketing, and fundraising Assures compliance with all laws and regulations, accreditation requirements, and internal policies andprocedures Preferred attributes:Experience teaching and administration at the primary or secondary educational level Experience in church-related ministry with an understanding of nature of a Catholic educationDemonstrated record of leadership ability and accomplishments.
