A Message FROM OUR BOARDS Dear Member Churches and Supporters It is my honor to present the work of your Board of Directors In Fiscal Year 2022 we worked very hard on an aspirational budgeting process Instead of offering a flat budget ceiling we asked our ministry councils to dream big about possibilities creating programs that might assist and build the ministries of the local churches and missions in these difficult times We did our best to meet these requests This process required many conversations with the Congregational Foundation Board of Governors and guidance by our Finance Committee to ensure good stewardship of the generous gifts given from our donors in support of the Shared Ministry Fund specific ministries and endowments This year we allocated significant financial assistance directly to churches whose ministries were affected or changed by COVID 19 through the Silver Lining grant program After three years we look forward to an in person Annual Meeting and Conference in Wichita The meeting will be a hybrid one and we have taken steps to improve our technology so that those who attend virtually have the best experience possible We celebrate the presentation of a FY2023 balanced budget for delegates to approve at the upcoming annual meeting I am grateful for the time and energy of volunteers who serve the NACCC daily in various ways I also give thanks for the skill and dedication of our professional staff in our Oak Creek office Rev Arthur P Ritter Vice Moderator Chair of the Board of Directors Dear Members Donors and Friends of the NACCC As your Board of Governors for the Congregational Foundation we are dedicated to our work as clearly stated in our Missions and Vision Statements MISSION The Congregational Foundation supports the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches its ministries and programs through a commitment to current donors and development of prospective donors VISION To develop long term sustainable sources of revenue which support the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches ministries and programs Working alongside the NACCC Board of Directors we were pleased to implement a new collaborative budgeting process this year Likewise we are grateful for our partnership with the NACCC in the Congregational Investment Trust CIT NACCC Foundation and member church investments combined in the CIT strengthen the financial position for all of us As intended gifts from donors were allocated to the NACCC at levels comparable to previous years In FY2022 the Foundation distributed 176 915 to the NACCC to further their work and projects of the Ministry Councils The Congregationalist the Center for Congregational Leadership and other worthy efforts We are pleased to announce that financial visioning is front and center as we move forward to finalize our upcoming avenue for fundraising Thank you for continuing a longstanding tradition of generosity through your contributions With abiding gratitude we will honor the timeless wishes of donors whose passion and foresight result in tangible resources Such faithful commitment enhanced by the conscientious work of staff and leadership will sustain the intangible richness of the Congregational Way 4 NACCC Annual Report 2022 www naccc org Laura Hamby President Board of Governors Congregational Foundation
