A note to parents:e purpose of this book is to help you to have a simple andencouraging time with your children every day in the word of God (Deuteronomy 11:18-21).We encourage you to read these verses to your children at aconsistent time on a daily basis (for example: in the morning or before going to bed). As you read them to your children they will surely have questions about what a particular word means, or what a verse as a whole may mean. is can lead to many precious short talks with your children about the verse. It is best however, not to use these times for lengthy lessons but for very simple, brief, and pleasant little chats with your child. In some cases you may be able to apply the verse in a sim-ple way to something that happened that day. Five to eight minutes of such encouraging conversation about the verse will leave your child feeling peaceful, happy, and cherished by you and by the words of the Bible. Keeping these times brief and positive will also help them look forward to these intimate times with you every day.You will nd that this book is divided into parts, or “goals.” Each part covers eight weeks, with the nal part covering only four.
