A Chance Encounter On the day we met it was all about work It was hot and the A C units in the building that I managed were in desperate need of repair The contractor hired was also the contractor that I was firing and he was the third person to take a look at the job While waiting for that contractor to exit the building I saw a man working on an A C unit on the roof of a building across the street My assistant and I waved arms and yelled to catch the man s attention My assistant then walked closer and asked Can you come over to speak with my boss about the HVAC stystem We Later Explored I walked over and officially introduced myself to LaKisa the Property Manager I gave her my card and she gave me her number so that I could provide a proposal for the job site I was later hired for the contract to complete the work and we began our working relationship However I believed that we both felt something deeper from the beginning It s something that we later explored

I m ending the year with trying to be more purposeful with my everyday living Life for me was just going and going and I look back now and see how much I was a bit out of control I m not talking about in a reckless way but in a I needed to do better in taking care of me kind of way I m learning to pace myself and to settle down which is hard to do as a natural go getter Being an entrepreneur you easily fall in the trap of the hustle and grind and that can be detrimental to your physical and mental health When we are in the business of providing something or a service for others we tend to completely neglect ourselves We do this because we re trying to meet our goals and maximize our bottom lines In the entrepreneurial world it is ultimately our survival and main purpose for our family to make this happen While I m passionate about everything that I do I m prioritizing me My health my happiness and my home I ll be sharing more in the New Year If it ever gets to be too much trust me I ll check out again This time it will be on purpose it will be by design www mula4life com Doing it by Design Featured photo Home Staging in Eckington Neighborhood Washington DC

T0 CUDDLE TO HOLD In taking inventory of our lives and doing everything with more intension I thought about reconnecting with my love on a more personal level Working together and being in business together is a challenge for many We do our best to make sure we have work cut off times keep dating and communicating However days and days can go by and we are guilty of not prioritizing the marriage Recently I came across an article that took the stress off of me I was actually searching for ways to boost my immune system being cautious of Covid 19 and cuddling came up by LaKisa Taylor Who knew Typically we are physically touching most of the time when we are chilling out but we re not connecting We re on the phone watching TV or on social media We re not in the moment together which creates distance My husband is a bit more affectionate than I so he will naturally cuddle You truly have to break me down but I enjoy a good pretzel twist hold until I break out in a hot sweat I wasn t raised touchy feely so forgive me but as the article mentioned cuddling provides many benefits JUS TF OR M EN Cuddling helps her to talk less So I ll sacrifice a moment or two and convince her to watch the game

ETON LEVART Queen and Crescent Hotel Autograph Collection New Orleans LA MADE US LOVE ABSOLUTELY We love boutique hotels and after our micro wedding of New Year s Eve 2017 we quietly escaped away to New Orleans This destination ended up being our impromptu honeymoon after our sudden wedding but New Orleans is a wonderful place for love especially when it comes to food comfort and fun It averaged 40 degrees the week we were there and the New Orleans Saints were in the playoffs Our hotel the Queen and Crescent Hotel was the perfect backdrop of the warmth and coziness that we needed The style was so mula with an industrial type modern setting a backdrop for a cigar smoker and hot beverages in copper mugs It was cold but it was perfect The bedroom had exposed brick walls hardwood floors and sleek bathrooms It felt like something we created for ourselves We love boutique hotels for their character qualities and real feel They are typically not over crowded and you can truly enjoy the space in which you temporarily reside We highly recommend this hotel along with the beignets and hot cocoa from Cafe DuMondes
