Program This exciting multidisciplinary program offers a thorough education and valuable insights into the management of critically injured patients. Through engaging lectures, informative videos, and interactive discussions, this course aims to enrich providers' knowledge and skills so they can deliver the best possible care needed to improve patient outcomes. Learning Outcomes The learner will report increased knowledge regarding the types ofcases that fall under the jurisdiction of the law and how medical careimpacts forensic evidence. The learner will report an increased knowledge regarding specialpopulation trauma-related care and management as it pertains tothe primary and secondary survey components. The learner will report a deeper understanding of equity, diversity,and inclusion in trauma care, knowledge that will help them providemore effective and empathetic care to all patients. The learner will report increased confidence in managing thehemorrhaging trauma patient. The learner will acquire a comprehensive understanding of disasterplanning, response, and critical management decisions surroundingmulti-casualty incidents, instilling a sense of preparedness andsecurity during these circumstances. The learner will report increased knowledge related to variousspecific treatment and management pearls and pitfalls of commonmechanisms of traumatic injuries. The learner will report increased knowledge of pre-hospital andinter-facility care and management of the critically injured traumapatient. Coinuing Education Coa Hours HCA MidAmerica Clinical Education is approved as a provider ofcontinuing education in nursing by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.This course offering is approved for 8 contact hours per day for RN,LPN, or LMHT re-licensure. Kansas State Provider No. LT0312-1221 Continuing Education for EMS Providers provided by LifeFlight Eagle.Course offerings are approved for 8 hours of CEU’s for Paramedics andEMT’s for each conference day. LifeFlight Eagle is a State of MissouriAccredited Training Entity. Training entity accreditation #09508C.
