Tuition Costs ESTIMATED ANNUAL TUITION FEES MONTANA TECH MT Resident WUE Advantage Non Resident 8 340 11 620 26 150 HIGHLANDS MT Resident WUE Advantage Non Resident 4 130 5 670 10 950 Estimated tuition and fees is based on the 2024 2025 Cost of Attendance Tuition and Fees HOUSING ROOM BOARD Annual housing and dining costs range from approximately 11 250 to 13 540 depending on residence hall room type and meal plan preferences View our options and rates at mtech edu housing MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES Students should plan for additional costs such as books and supplies transportation personal items etc These kinds of costs are included in the Cost of Attendance portion of your financial aid offer but are not billed to you directly by Montana Tech FAFSA FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID The FAFSA for the 2025 2026 academic year will be available in Fall 2024 at studentaid gov The priority deadline for applying for financial aid at Montana Tech is December 1st for the 20252026 academic year Montana Tech s school code 002531 MTECH EDU TUITION Scholarships Montana Tech offers a variety of scholarships Oredigger Merit Scholarships are awarded based on the information provided on your application for admission All other scholarships require separate applications OREDIGGER MERIT SCHOLARSHIP New first time students pursuing a bachelor s degree who apply for admission before March 1 are automatically considered for the award based on GPA and if submitted test scores MARIE MOEBUS PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP New first time students pursuing a bachelor s degree who have a high school GPA of 3 75 or higher and an ACT of 30 or more or an SAT of 1410 or more are eligible to apply for this award that is a combination of a tuition waiver and cash renewable for up to four years Qualifying admitted students will receive an invitation to apply on their student portal PURL applications are due January 15 LANCE SCHOLARS PROGRAM New first time and transfer students who are residents of Montana pursuing a bachelor s degree and have a high school or transfer GPA of 3 0 or higher are eligible to apply for this award that provides a 4 000 per year scholarship renewable for up to three additional years Qualifying admitted students will receive an invitation to apply on their student portal PURL applications are due January 15 Applicants must complete the FAFSA ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Admitted students are invited to submit the Scholarship Questionnaire on their admitted student portal by October 31 for full consideration for additional awards In addition our website includes links to websites that offer scholarship or other resources to students The Montana University System offers a number of tuition waivers and scholarships to help with the costs of college at Montana Tech as well Enrolled members of the state s federally recognized tribes members of Montana National Guard war orphans dependents of Montana firefighters and peace officers who passed away in the line of duty and honorably discharged veterans may qualify Students can apply for MUS administered scholarships and awards at awardmontana mus edu scholarships Beginning in Fall 2024 Montana Technological University is adding an Army ROTC program which also may offer scholarship benefits MTECH EDU SCHOLARSHIPS
