The Musculoskeletal Tumor Society holds at least two meetings a year - the Annual Meeting and Specialty Day Course held during the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Annual Meeting bringing more than 500 Musculoskeletal Tumor Oncologists together for education. The 2023 MSTS Annual Meeting will occur Wednesday, October 4 through Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada.The 2024 MSTS Specialty Day is scheduled to occur on Friday, February 16, 2024 in San Francisco, California. In addition, MSTS will periodically hold specialty symposia, webinars, and other educational events. The MSTS develops and maintains a competitive, clinically relevant, research program for the advancement of knowledge in musculoskeletal oncology and your support helps drive these efforts. Through research and education, the Society is able to develop better outcomes for patients aficted with a variety of aggressive diseases that not only have the potential to threaten patients’ quality of life and function, but can also in many cases be quite deadly. MSTS members have demonstrated academic and research prowess in order to enter the ranks of the Society. MSTS partners with other organizations and disciplines such as medical and pediatric oncology, radiation therapy and full time laboratory investigators to unlock the mysteries of the diseases treated. The MSTS has ten core committees: Education Committee, Membership Committee, Research Committee, Fellowship Committee, Practice Management Committee, Finance Committee, Communications Committee, Annual Meeting Program Committee, Specialty Day Program Committee and the Guidelines and Evidence Based Medicine Committee; all which enable the society to function and serve as resources for the orthopaedic oncology community.
