Moxxi, our cat, is so full of personality and energy. The first week or so after weadopted her, she managed to unscrew a toy that was attached to her cat tower.Right about then we knew we were going to have to find toys and activities thatstood up to her, shall we say, moxie. In these pages are things we’ve discovered she loves over the past five years, and that we love for her. Moxxi will be meowdeling most of them, if we’vemanaged to catch a picture of her that isn’t just a blur of action. If you have afeisty and particular kitty in your life, we hope these items are as much of a hitwith them as they are with Moxxi.Lauren, Matt, & Moxxi2This gift guide contains Amazon affiliate links. If you purchase through them, weearn a small commission at no cost to you. We definitely only recommendproducts that we (including Moxxi) love.

STOCKINGSTUFFERSThese springs are some of Moxxi’sabsolute favorite. She will even playfetch with them, chasing them downthe hall and then bringing them back.Definitely get a couple packs of theseas they do happen to be the right sizeto end up under.... everything.3“There’s gotta be more somewhere inhere...”We learned a year or so ago that althoughMoxxi loves catnip, it doesn’t agree with heranymore. Luckily, her love for silvervinesticks is able to persist. We’ve liked the plainsticks you can see her chomping on here fora long time. Recently, we added in thesetwine-wrapped versions and she is a giantfan of those too. We do clip the gallfruit offbefore she gets it - just a personal petparent preference.

The best part of this fuzzy worm toywand is that you can buy areplacement set of attachments toclip on once the starting set havebeen chomped on so much they’velost structural integrity. They alsosell a feather attachment set - butfor Moxxi, it’s fuzzy worms 99.9% ofthe time. There are certain textures Moxxican’t get enough of, and one ofthem is felt. We like this rainbow toybecause it’s long enough to playwith her without having to hunchover. Moxxi loves it for bunnykicking and giving it endless baths.4INTERACTIVECHASINGTOYS

PERCHES& BEDSAfter all that chasing and playing (or a long day supurrvisingour house projects), it’s definitely time for a rest to recharge. These are some of Moxxi’s favorite napping spots.Moxxi loves this perch so much that she will go into rooms we’re not in tonap on it. Normally, she follows one or the other of us around the house tosee what we’re up to. We have one in my craft room and one in my office, and they are the perfect size for her to lay on or to sit up to take a peek outof the windows from.5

Page 7

Speaking of peeking out of thewindows - this suction cupperch is in Matt’s office, whereone of the windowsill percheswouldn’t work well. It’s a goodsize and solid-feeling enoughfor Moxxi to feel confident, even though it’s a suspendedfabric platform. One thing to keep in mind for thissuction cup perch is if the windowgets a lot of sun. With bigtemperature changes throughoutthe day, rarely one of the top cupscomes unstuck, although the otherthree hold fine. For us, it’s worth theoccasional re-application.This pouf is fairly deep, and the rightsize for Moxxi to really snuggle into.Once she settles into it, we knowwe’ll hear her little “powering down”noise soon as she quickly dozes off. It’s another texture she loves, anubby fleece, and the cover isremovable for washing.6

Moxxi loves to make biscuits on fluffy shag materiallike this pink cat blanket. We love that it’s just hersize, so we can transform any surface into a cozynapping and biscuit spot. We’ve got three of thesein different colors scattered around the house, andas you can see, she’s very into it.While Moxxi often hides from the pawparazzi (aka, Mattand I trying to capture her adorableness in pictures), I feellike we managed to capture some good shots of her withher favorite items. This bed is relatively new, and it’s herevening nap and biscuit location, so... the lighting is a bitmoodier. This bed has a sturdier backing than the pinkblanket, and you can actually button the corners to give ita bit more structure. All I know is that the day we put it inMatt’s office, she hopped up and spent a good chunk oftime making biscuits and purring the whole time.7

These towers with scratchers built in are made ofcardboard, but they are super sturdy! The one on theleft is still one of Moxxi’s favorite morning spots and haslasted for years. When we ordered a second one inanother design for upstairs, she didn’t even wait until wefinished putting it together to jump on and test it out.8OTHER CATENTERTAINMENT

The KitNipBox was a really great subscription box for us, especiallywhen we first adopted Moxxi. We wanted to discover what kinds oftoys and playtime she liked most, and there was always a wideassortment of options in the boxes. Plus, the designs and themes foreach month are adorable! Definitely a great gift for your cat(s) or afriend who recently added a cat to the family!9
