PROHIBITED FROM COURSEFor safety reasons, strollers, bicycles, roller skates,inline skates, scooters and dogs will be prohibitedfrom the race. The use of headphones is stronglydiscouraged in both the 5K & Half MarathonPACING TEAMPacing provided by West Volusia Pacers. 1:40, 1:45, 1:50 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20,2:25, 2:30, 2:40, 2:50, 3:00. Look for a pace sign!(Subject to change)WEATHER The race start time temperature of this event isnormally around the low 60’s and around the 3:25min time limit is 70’sFINISHER MEDALSFinisher medals are given for both the HalfMarathon and the 5k. Each race’s medal is customto the event.AGE GROUP AWARDSHalf Marathon – Top 3 overall male/female, Topoverall male/female masters, and top 3 male/femaleage groups will receive awards. Age groups include 19& Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+5K – Top 3 overall male/female and top 3 male/female age groups will receive awards. Age groupsinclude 8 & Under, 9-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+10SHIRTS5K Participants receive a mixed poly cotton blendshirt. Half Marathon participants receive a tech t-shirt. Dora Double receive both shirts.SHIRT SIZE AVAILABILITYThe majority of runners will get the shirt size theyrequest at registration. Availability of shirt sizesare not guaranteed to those that pickup their shirton race day. Shirt sizes can be exchanged only atthe conclusion of each race.TIMING & SCORINGEvent will be chip timed and scored withdisposable chips attached to the back of the bib.Bib numbers should be secured to the front ofyour shirt. COURSE TIME LIMITThis event offers 2 walk/run distances, 5krun/walk on Saturday and a single loop halfmarathon on Sunday. The half marathon is aUSATF Certified Course.(#FL23043JK). Thecourse will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7:00- 10:30 AM Roads reopen at 10:30; the finish line will remainopen until the last runner completes the race, andmedals will be awarded to ALL finishersregardless of when they finish to all 5K & halfmarathon participants. PARTICIPANT TRACKINGRaceJoy Live Phone Tracking and Cheer SendingUse the RaceJoy app for advanced tracking ofparticipants and show your support with cheersending. Participants set up for tracking inRaceJoy and carry their phone as they completethe course. Spectators track participants’ actuallocation in a map view and can send audio cheers.GPS-based progress alerts are typically issued atevery mile along the course.
