4From the President:From across the length and breadth of this great state of NewMexico, a great people gather. The under-girding factor that bringsus all to the great city of Alamogordo this week is a man namedJesus.Brothers and sisters, as we gather not only do I greet you in thePrecious name of Christ, but I remind you that the church’s missionis the mission of Jesus Christ to “proclaim then good news to thepoor… freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,to set the oppressed free.” (Luke 4:18)Therefore, we have come to be refreshed, have our spirit renewedand sharpen our God given tools for telling and re-telling the oldstory, that is the source of our salvation.I appreciate the fact that God saw fit to place me in the position ofleadership of this great convention. With your support we willcontinue to maintain the high standard of excellence demonstratedin the past-by-past leadership and followership.Remember when you recognize where God is working, you can joinHim in what He is doing. Then you will experience God doingthrough you what only He can do.May God bless each of you,President David E. Walker
