We understand the importance of transparency and strive toprovide an understanding of typical costs for design fees andfurnishings to help bring your dream space to life therefore,we work with you to identify the best investment range foryour vision. However, we ask our clients to allow us to designtheir ideal solution and we can then reverse engineer at thatpoint if we need to. With that said, it's helpful to have an understanding of typicaldesign fees, as well as costs for the elements needed tocreate a dream home which is why we created thisINVESTMENT GUIDE to shed some light on those aspects ofan interior design project.

INVESTMENT BASICSWH E N WOR KI N G WI T H M OU NT A IN L U XE IN TE R IO RSD E S I G N F E E SIn order to employ our Full Service Interior Design, the per roominvestment starts at $35,000 for furnishings and decor and our designfees start at $5000 and are billed as a flat fee of the overall costs of thespace depending on several factors and the scope needed to create yourdream space. Design fees will be outlined in your Design Fee Proposalfollowing your In-Home consultation. (We also have a couple of fabulousa la carte services available so ask us about those when you book aDiscovery Call!) Construction Design Services are billed in a similarfashion but with a flat fee percentage of the square footage of the build.O V E R A L L P R O J E C T I N V E S T M E N TOur clients typically have furnishing budgets beginning at $35,000 orrenovation | build budgets beginning at $75,000 depending on the spaceand scope of work.P R O D U C T SWe source from a variety of local and to-the-trade vendors and price ourproducts so they are competitive with retail. Invoices for furnishings aredue before order placement. R E C E I V I N G & W H I T E G L O V E I N S T A L L A T I O N The advantage of our Full Service Interior Design is that items areshipped to our receiving warehouse so they can be received, inspected,and stored until the “Big Reveal”. When your home is ready for softfurnishings, the receiving warehouse will provide white glove deliveryand assembly and we will be there to install it all for you! Shipping and white glove delivery fees are between 15-20% of the furniture investment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSS O Y O U K N O W W H A T T O E X P E C THOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET?We work with clients in a few different ways so we canaccommodate different budgets. For our full-service design, ourclients typically have furnishing and project budgets beginningat $35,000. We charge a flat fee for our design services and you’llknow the design fee upfront at the time we start your project.Our Full-Service Interior Design fees begin at $5,000.WILL I RECEIVE YOUR TRADE DISCOUNTS?We are fortunate to have relationships with so many talentedvendors and we love incorporating custom and one-of-a-kindpieces to make every design unique. It is our policy to price theirproducts competitively with retail to reflect the time andfinancial commitment required for these relationships.Our pricing includes our team managing the entire ordering,tracking, and installation process for you, so you never have tolift a finger. CAN YOU USE MY EXISTING PIECES?While we do our best to incorporate heirlooms and antiques intoyour design if they are compatible with the layout of the spaceand your design aesthetic, we cannot guarantee the inclusion ofyour existing pieces.HOW MUCH TIME DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE?Every project is unique and we’ll provide an estimated timelinein your proposal. The design phase takes anywhere from 2-6months. From there, ordering, furniture production, shipping,and project management can take anywhere from 16-24 weeks ormore. A typical furnishing project takes about 4-12 months from start tofinish, and a renovation or build project can take a year or more.We recommend securing a designer 6-8 months in advance ofany upcoming deadlines. HOW OFTEN CAN WE TALK?Once we've officially started your project, we're available byemail during business hours and are happy to schedule callsto talk through any questions you have about the process.We’ll find out upfront how involved you want to be and howoften you want updates, then we’ll manage thecommunication from there so you can enjoy the processwithout overwhelm or anxiety.CAN YOU RECOMMEND A CONTRACTOR/TRADES?Partnering with professional tradespeople is a crucial part ofour process. We'll work with our team of trades to prepareestimates for the work we recommend and oversee theirprogress throughout your project. If you are already workingwith a licensed contractor, your proposal will detail how we'llcommunicate and collaborate with their team to ensure aseamless process.WHAT IF I DON'T LOVE THE DESIGN?The research phase of every project is incredibly detailed andthorough so we have a complete understanding of yourdesign style and lifestyle. Every proposal includes a certainnumber of reselections. In cases where you are unsure of anitem and it's something we know you'll love, we'll state ourcase as to why it's "the one" for you. These items areoftentimes the ones our clients tell us they love most. WHAT IF THERE ARE ISSUES? We'll be working closely together for an extended period oftime, and there may be delays or frustrations along the way.
