CENTURY PLAZA DEVELOPMENTCENTURY CITY, CACentury Plaza Development is a ground-up, historic renovation, expansion, and seismic retrofit. The project, designed by Pei Cobb Freed, Gensler, and HED, comprises three structures with 16, 44, and 44 levels above grade. It includes 363 luxury condominiums and 400 Fairmont Century Plaza hotel keys, with connected parking totaling 379,845 square feet and 4,016 stalls. The original Century Plaza hotel, designed by Minoru Yamasaki, underwent a historic renovation, expansion, and seismic retrofit. The Century Plaza Hotel's uppermost four floors have been renovated to house 73 luxury condominiums. Ground-up construction included two 44-level triangular glass towers flanking the hotel's west elevation and containing 290 luxury condominiums. Designed by HOK, the project consists of five structures with varying levels above grade, all of which are part of a mixed-use urban village centrally located and designed for walkability. The commercial oce buildings feature open lobbies, large and flexible floor plates, optimized planning, floor-to-ceiling glass, roof decks, and locker rooms with showers. THE BLOCLOS ANGELES, CAThe Bloc is a vast mixed-use complex with an open-air marketplace, redesigned Macy's, Sheraton Hotel, oce tower, and parking structure. Studio One Eleven designed the project, and Webcor executed seismic and renovation works on four structures.
