Unhealthiest vs Healthiest snacks

The six nutrients are, Carbohydrates, Protein, fats, Vitamins, minerals, and water. How do nutrients help the body? They help keep your body functioning, All of them do different things for your body. 

 Things that contain carbs: Fruits, Breads, Grains, Vegetables and sugars contain carbohydrates.

Good carbohydrates contain Fibers and digest slowly

Carbohydrates break down into sugar in your body

Bad carbohydrates contain bad sugars (Brown sugar) and digest quickly which raises blood sugar levels

 Carbohydrates are an energy source for your brain. Your body would not function without it.

You should have 226-325 grams of carbohydrates a day

The speed at which a carbohydrate affects the body affects how your body processes it.


Protein is found in eggs

Too much protein may affect your glucose metabolism

Proteins are large molecules that have amino acids. Our cells need these to function. Body cells. tissues and organs can't exist without them (Our body structure)

Eating protein can boost your muscles

Fats protect your organs and help keep your body warm, they help absorb nutrients and produce important hormones

Healthy fats (Avocados, walnuts, almonds, salmon) reduce heart disease

The unhealthy fats (burgers, pizza, donuts, whipped cream) hurt your cholesteral and the healthy oils turn to solids
