MS ClubsOn Wednesdays, students use their 30 minute community time to participate in clubs. Studentshave the opportunity to be in a different club each quarter, allowing four during the school year.This is a time students can explore and expand their interests with their peers. Club offeringschange throughout the year based on student interest.BasketballCome to the outdoor courts and shoot basketball with your classmates (as weather permits). There will beindoor alternatives.Birthday ClubOur club's goal is to recognize birthdays of all students and teachers throughout the year. We create signs todecorate lockers for students and doors for teachers.Bloxels Game JamBuild your own video game without a single line of code. Design the characters, storyline, animation and gameenvironment using Bloxel Kits (pixel art).Board Games/ Walking ClubStudents will walk for exercise/pleasure on nice club days. We will play board games when inclement and/orcold weather occurs.Book Folding ClubCreating personalized decorative works of art with books! It's a fun, relaxing and unique craft! Here are a fewBook Folding Examples.Calligraphy & Handlettering ClubUse letters to create beautiful design and art. The beauty of hand lettering is that you can pick up just about anypen or pencil and get started.Card Game ClubDo you like games of strategy, silly games of speed, or an old favorite like Uno? If so, join me for a club devotedstrictly to card games - no boards, no die, no spinners - just cards.

Magic ClubClub will teach magic effects with cards, coins, string, etc. for entertaining family and friends. There will begiveaways, special performances and magic.Paper Football ClubPaper football at the lunch tables in the Dining Hall.Perler Beading ClubPerler beads are melted into works of art, key chains, magnets, etc.Piping ProjectLearn fluid flow engineering from design to construction of a tank system pumping water in an open system.Measure pressure, temperature and fluid levels with analog or digital instrumentation.Quarterback ClubIn this club you will learn the skills of playing the quarterback position.Reading Bowl ClubDo you love to read? Each week, you will be quizzed on your sports knowledge tosee how much you do or don’t know!Student EnsembleStudents are offered the opportunity to practice playing their instruments and reading music with their peers.This club is student designed.Tabletop Gamers GuildStudents will learn new tabletop board and card games, share game reviews, discuss the hobby in general, andaid in the planning of tabletop roleplaying games.Tennis ClubThe students will learn basic tennis skills and do hand eye coordination drills.Walking ClubWe will walk around our lovely campus and enjoy the fresh air while getting in some exercise!Wide Receiver ClubMembers will learn wide receiver skills and will periodically work with the QB Club.Wrestling ClubMembers will learn strategy, moves, and techniques.Yearbook ClubStudents will help create the MS section of the yearbook. Students will create spreads, captions, and takepictures.MS Teams and Affinity GroupsStudents also have the opportunity to be a part of affinity groups and teams which meet onThursdays or after school.

We work to promote diversity-equity-inclusivity, cultural awareness, and multicultural issues in theschool and the community. The group takes a stand against prejudice, hatred, and promotes an appreciationand understanding of tolerance of others and education for all.Robotics TeamLooking for 7th and 8th grades with robotics experience in building, driving, or programming.AthleticsFall SportsFootballFootball is a no cut sport that begins in early August and ends in mid-October. Cross CountryMembers run a two-mile distance at meets which are usually held on weekdays, with an occasional Saturdaymeet. This is a no cut sport for girls and boys. The emphasis is on individual improvement, so there will be astrict attendance policy to encourage as much practice time as possible during our short season. There will bean informational meeting for students the first week of school.SoftballSoftball is a girl’s sport and requires tryouts. Once school begins, practice is Monday through Thursday from4:00 - 5:30. Matchesare played on weeknights and some Saturdays. Please go to the Middle School Information and Downloads page tofind more information on the Middle School Fall SportsCheerleadingCheerleading is a sideline sport open to boys and girls that requires tryouts for a maximum 20-spot roster. Theseason runs from April-October. Please go to the Middle School Information and Downloads page to find moreinformation on the Middle School Fall SportsWinter SportsWrestlingPractice will begin in late October. Matches will begin after Thanksgiving with several dual and tri-matches onweekdays. Tournaments are held on Saturdays. All boys are encouraged to be a part of this no cut sport. Theseason ends with the Junior Chattahoochee Tournament held the last week of January. Practice is Mondaythrough Friday from 4:00- 5:30. Winter sport information will be posted on the Middle School Information andDownloads page in September..BasketballTryouts for the girls and boys teams will begin in October. Everyone is encouraged to tryout, but there are alimited number of positions on the teams for girls and boys in each grade. The games are played during theweek and on Saturdays beginning the first week in December. The season ends the last week of January withtournament play in early February. Practice is Monday through Friday from 4:00- 5:45. Winter sport informationwill be posted on the Middle School Information and Downloads page in September.

Swimming and DivingPractice begins in mid-October. This team is open to both girls and boys but may limit places so that everyoneon the team may participate in all the meets. Meets begin after Thanksgiving and are held after school duringthe week. The season ends the first week in February with the city championships on a Saturday. Practice isMonday through Friday from 4:00- 5:45. Winter sport information will be posted on the Middle SchoolInformation and Downloads page in September.Spring SportsSoccerTryouts for the girls and boys begin in early February with a mixture of 7thand 8thgraders on both teams. Theseason ends at the end of April. Practice is Monday through Friday from 4:00- 5:45. Spring sport informationwill be found on the Middle School Information and Downloads page in December.BaseballTryouts begin in February. The team includes boys in 7thand 8thgrade. Baseball concludes its season inmid-April. Practice is Monday through Friday from 4:00- 5:45. Spring sport information will be found on theMiddle School Information and Downloads page in December.TrackAll students are encouraged to join this no cut team for boys and girls. Practice begins in mid-February andends in April with the city championship. Meets start after spring break. Meets are during the week andoccasionally on Saturdays. Everyone is given an opportunity to compete in a track or field event. Practice isMonday through Friday from 4:00- 5:45.
