Marshall GregoryAdvanced Graphics Level 34th PeriodMs. GuiteauPortfolio IntroductionMy name is Marshall Gregory and this is my portfolio of all my best designsthroughout my experience in the Graphic Design Pathway. I am 17 years old and ajunior at North Atlanta High School. This is my third and final year in the Graphic DesignPathway and I plan on going into work-based learning next year. After I graduate highschool I want to continue pursuing Graphic Design as I enjoy it very much and can takemy skills somewhere they are needed. I plan to get into either Georgia, Scad, orGeorgia Tech.My portfolio theme is music. Most if not all of my designs include an album coveras the main topic of the focus of the design. While creating my portfolio I learned a lotabout Photopea, like the clip masking tool. One main struggle I had when creating myportfolio was that Photopea kept getting super laggy and I would have to save my designquickly before it crashed. This led to me having to redo a ton of my designs, which setme back a lot and made me spend more time than needed on many designs. Judgesshould expect to see designs that a musical artist would for their design teamthemselves.

Marshall GregoryAdvanced Graphics Level 34th PeriodMs. GuiteauPortfolio ReflectionWhen I first started taking graphic design I was not interested in the career at all.The only reason I took it freshman year was because it seemed like an easy class thatwouldn’t require much effort to complete. While level one was very easy to complete, Istarted to realize that I liked this pathway and wanted to continue to take the differentlevels. I went from using Gravit Designer to Photopea, which I initially hated, and thathelped me grow my designs in multiple ways. Eventually, I started taking other artclasses hoping they would help me learn more about graphic design, and in the middleof my junior year, I decided that I wanted to major in graphic design in college. One of the best parts of graphic design is that the skills apply to many otherenterprises in the arts industry. I don’t need to worry about other industries howeverbecause I plan on majoring in graphic design when I go to college. I also want to minorin mathematics which, on top of graphic design, will help me if I ever end up going intosoftware engineering. I’ve been taking multiple art classes at North Atlanta as well tosee how they all merge on a bigger scale. Through the use of all these classes, I will beable to major in graphic design.Creating this portfolio was a very fun experience for me as I tried to create mostlynew designs to show how far I’ve come. For some designs, I even took my old ones and

new designs to show how far I’ve come. For some designs, I even took my old ones andreworked them to improve on them since I’ve learned so much since I created them. Ionly faced 2 challenges when creating my portfolio so there weren’t too many struggles. One of the challenges was that Photopea kept crashing and it wouldn’t save myprogress, so I would have to restart my entire design. Sometimes this was a good this, however, since it would give me a new perspective in the creative process of thatdesign. My overall journey in graphics has been extremely enjoyable. My designs have grownso much since my freshman year, and I've learned a ton as well. I started myfreshman year wanting nothing to do with graphic design besides a free grade for myGPA. Throughout the years I have become way more confident in my designs andstarted to become proud of what I create. In conclusion, I have grown so much in thispathway and had a great time all thanks to Ms. G (The Best Graphic Design Teacher.)
