It is a place where excellence is the standard, and where everymember is treated with respect and dignity.The Farms Country Club was founded in 1960 by a group of gentlemen fromWallingford, Meriden, and Cheshire who saw the potential for a much-neededfamily club in the area.The Club was originally a working farm, but the founders saw the beauty ofthe land and the opportunity to create a special place for families to gatherand enjoy each other's company.Construction of the 18-hole golf course and clubhouse began in June 1961,and the Club was officially opened on July 4, 1962. In the years since, TheFarms has grown and evolved, but its commitment to family and excellencehas never wavered.Today, The Farms is a member-owned and operated club. An elected Board ofGovernors sets, maintains, and enforces the Club's standards of excellence.The staff is courteous and highly professional; they greet you by name andstrive to meet your every need.Over the past 50 years, The Farms Country Club has enriched the social livesof many families in the greater New Haven area.
