Mechanic/Plant Fitter Up to £60,000 per annum Full-time, Permanent About M Large M Large, a well-established business founded in 1970, provides a comprehensive range of services across the UK and Ireland. We specialise in the sale of specialist equipment, including truck cranes, hook loaders, and forestry machinery. Additionally, we operate and maintain a diverse fleet of over 60 vehicles and plant including Hydraulic truck cranes telehandlers, tractors, excavators, lorries, vans, cherry pickers, woodchippers and forklifts The Role We seek a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Mechanic/Plant Fitter. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the smooth operation of our workshop, overseeing the repair and maintenance of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities: • Hands-on Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy machinery, including hydraulic and electronic components. • Diagnostic Expertise: Utilise diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of technicians, fostering a collaborative and eicient work environment. • Process Improvement: Implement innovative solutions to optimize workshop eiciency and productivity. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records and reports, including maintenance logs and inventory. Qualifications and Experience: • Proven track record in heavy machinery repair and maintenance. • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong leadership and organisational abilities. • Valid driving license.
