Planning AheadMeals From The Heart with Chef Omar - Chef-led ExperienceOur chef-led experience makes it easy for groups of up to 8 people toexperience the joy of feeding families. Volunteers make a $350 donation and our chef plans the menu, buys theingredients, and leads your group in creating a delicious meal for families.Volunteer RequirementsPlease limit your group to a maximum of 8 people, including adult chaperones,when children are part of the group. Children under 10 years of age are notpermitted in the kitchen.Volunteers between the ages of 10-15 must be accompanied and supervised byadult chaperones (1:1 adult-to-child ratio).Volunteers between the ages of 16-18 require at least one adult chaperone forthe group.Meet Chef OmarChef Omar was raised by two pastry chefs who instilled in him a love for the culinaryworld at an early age. 550 S First Street, Louisville, KY 40202 | 502.561.1416 | rmhck.org Day-Of DetailsFree parking is available in the lot across from our main entrance.Locate the set of three blue doors on the front of our building and enter throughthe one on the far left - you may need to buzz in.Guests 18 or older must sign in via our Lobby Guard system, which will run apublic sex offender check. Individuals who appear on the national sex offenderregistry will be denied entrance to our House.Groups should arrive together at 4 pm for a brief orientation before you startcooking. If you need to arrive later, let our Activities & Culinary ProgramsCoordinator know.Meals are served buffet-style. When you are ready to serve your meal, Chef Omar will make an announcementto families. If your group must cancel, please contact Grace Hargreaves, Activities & CulinaryPrograms Coordinator, at grace@rmhck.org or 502.371.1446, as soon as possible so wecan make alternative arrangements. If you must cancel within one week of your meal,we will be unable to refund your donation. Our staff and House volunteers will makesure your gift still provides a warm meal for families on the scheduled meal date andtime. Exceptions may be made for inclement weather at the discretion of RonaldMcDonald House.Your group is welcome to stay and eat with our families once your meal is served. Please be aware that not all families arrive at the same time to eat. Families willslowly trickle in as the evening progresses. Many will enjoy the leftovers for a latedinner or lunch the next day. Keep food safe!
