Dear Parents, Each of us wants only the best for our children. We all believe that our most important task in life is to be ךנחמ our children in the ׳ה ךרד. Each of us invests time, effort, money, and Tefillah and hope to be zoche to אימשד אתעייס to have children who are שודגו אלמ in תובוט תודימ, הרות, and םימש תארי. One of the greatest challenges in Chinuch today is finding and maintaining the proper balance in our engagement with technology. Unfortunately, we have seen first-hand some of the damaging ramifications of improper usage. Our children are robbed of their creativity, their self-esteem, and confidence. It pollutes their minds and thinking, chipping away at their purity and תומימת. It damages their ability to connect with השודק - a possuk in Chumash, a sugya in the Gemara, and frays their connection with Hashem. We as הרות ינב and םינימאמ ינב םינימאמ, the adults in their lives must reflect and reassess if our own connection with media and technology is truly in sync with the Torah values we hold dear. Are we being proper role models for our children in this area? Our children are watching us and are modeling our own behavior. I am positive that if we each make and with Mesiras Nefesh, maintain a small Kabbalah – to improve in this area, the Siyatta DiShmaya will be immeasurable, and the zchus for our community will bring הכרב עפש and החלצה. In this vein, I strongly urge everyone to attend Sunday night’s event at the Young Israel of Brookline – a true ׳ה שודיקל הפיסא. Let us show our commitment to HaKadosh Boruch Hu, and our dedication to the Chinuch of our children. .ןבר תיב לש תוקונית ןעמל השע .ונפטו ונללוע ןעמל השע !תבש טוג Rabbi Ochs On, Lag B’Omer, the boys enjoyed singing and dancing with their Rebbeim around a real bonfire in the school yard. Look for pictures of some of the posters further in the bulletin. It is springtime! Our preschool classes are enjoying many springtime activities, including studying the life cycle of butterflies.
