If you have ever felt the nudge to engage with scripture for the purpose of preaching, but weren’t sure where to start, or how to get from scripture to sermon… I want to invite you to a course on preaching.The class will take place over two Wednesday evenings. Come have dinner at 5:30PM with Dinner Church before is just a fancy name for discerning scripture. Ms. Liz & Ms. Sabreena’s 2 year Old ClassIt’s hard to believe the school year has gone by so fast, and we are close to rounding out the year. In shapes, and lots of colors.In April, we celebrated Easter and learned how Jesus gave his life for us; Jesus died so that we can live! We had such an awesome Easter FUMC Courtyard. We, along with our families, hunted Easter eggs even got to meet Ms. Liz’s baby girl Olivia this month. Although school is coming to an end, we groovy day, camo day, sports day, and neon day, AND are looking forward to our end of the year party! Of Methodist Day SchoolBunco was so much FUN!

Dear Friends,It is with a heavy heart that I offer my letter of resignation from First UnitedMethodist Church as Director of Children’s Ministries effective May 31, 2023. It has truly been my honor to serve for the past 12 years, and I am gratefulbeyond words for the opportunity. My time here has been filled with worshipand prayer, growth and love, laughter and dancing; all of which I will foreverbe grateful. I have worked alongside amazing people, made lifelong friends,and feel I have learned more from the kids than they have from me. The peoplein this church have become family and are a tremendous part of my life. I canassure you the decision to step down has not been made lightly, but through alot of tears and prayer. I want nothing but the best for this ministry and can’twait to see the energy and fresh eyes a new Director will bring. FUMC will continue to be our home, and I am looking forward to serving inother areas of our church, the youth in particular. With Scarlett starting highschool next year and Mike serving as a sponsor, it will be a blessing to be ableto worship and serve together as a family for a few years before she heads off tocollege. Thank you to the families who have allowed me to be part of your children’slives, and thank you, once again, for the love and support you have shown meover the years.
