Q U A L I F Y I N G F O R F I N A N C I A L A I D A S AF U L L - T I M E S T U D E N TG R A D U A T E I N 2 Y E A R SIf you are a full-time student and have at least 12credits each semester you may qualify for financialaid. Most students plan to graduate within 2 years,but life happens – so you have to choose the timelinethat makes sense for you. In some cases, having toomany courses can mean stress, course drops andeven failing grades. When signing up for classes,choose a schedule that makes sense to you and yourlife responsibilities. Graduating within 2 years means taking 30 creditsevery year, i.e 15 credits each semester. You can stillearn 30 credits each year by taking courses duringwinter and summer sessions.Sample Schedule:Fall semester = 12 creditsWinter semester = 3 creditsSpring semester = 12 creditsSummer semester = 3 creditsI S S U M M E R S E M E S T E R A G O O D F I T F O RM E ?During the summer, students can take up to 16 credithours by enrolling in up to 8 credit hours per session(summer 1 and summer 2). Most BMCC courses are 3or 4 credit hours each. Important deadlines: May 6 for Priority Summer 1 Application, May 29 for Session 1 registration without a late fee,June 23 for Priority Summer 2 Application, July 19 for Session 2 registration without a late fee.Tips on AcademicAdvisementAssignments and tests are given more frequently. Ask yourself, will this schedule be a good experience for you?

What is the ArticulationAgreement?An Articulation Agreement is a written contract or a partnershipbetween BMCC and a four-year college or university thatcontains agreed upon courses or programs that will transfer overto that particular senior institution.
