Since holding auditions in August of last year,the cast has been unrelenting in theirdetermination and passion for this show.They’ve worked tireless hours after school,learning their lines, music and complexchoreography to create the best work thatthey can. Each student has walked into eachrehearsal with a positive attitude, lots ofenergy, and a high level of commitment to theshow and to their peers. They have alwaysworked generously and collaboratively withthe staff and with each other, displaying ahigh level of support and encouragement thathas made rehearsals an exciting and fun placeto be.For many years now our students have beenkeen to bring the timeless classic of MammaMia to life. The school grounds have been filledwith the catchy 70s ABBA songs as the casthas been totally committed to the success ofthis show. They have contributed tirelesshours after school and weekends, learningtheir lines, dance routines and all the songs tocreate a fun filled night of entertainment. Over 100 Year 7 students have been workinghard in their drama and music lessons and havematched the energy and enthusiasm of themain cast, many of whom have performed invarious Secondary School productions overthe years. This will undoubtedly be aphenomenal experience for all students whowill again be able to perform on a main stage ina commercial theatre, no doubt making it oneof the highlights of their Secondary schooling. What wonderful memories they are allcreating together.
