MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) was originally founded on September 5th, 1980.
MADD's mission statement has been changed multiple times. The current (2016) statement is "The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, help fight drugged driving, support families of victims of these violent crimes and prevent under age drinking."
MADD's goals for the upcoming years focuses on reaching more victims, reducing the amount of victims of/prevent drunk/drugged driving, gain members and support for their cause, and build a sustainable fundraising plan to increase revenue.
MADD has reached many goals since its founding. Some examples are that drunk driving deaths has been cut by 53%, they have saved over 340k lives, and 820k victims have been served.
