Mothers Against Drunk Driving
The organization was founded on 1980, by a mother named Candace Lightner sitting at a kitchen table after her 13-year-old daughter Cari, was killed by a drunk driver. There is at least one MADD office in every state of the United States and at least one in each province of Canada. MADD is orgnization that works to help victims thats been effected by drunk drivers and their main mission is to help prevent drunk drivers and underage drinking.
Making A Change
Every year MADD has a 5k marathon named Walk Like MADD to help raise money for awareness and funds to help eliminate drunk driving. In the early 2000's MADD fought a persistent fight to get the BAC lowered to 0.08 in all 50 states by 2004 it finally passes.
