THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2024Welce to O 2024 SoiréeAt MAAC, we’ve spent nearly six decades empowering individuals and families with the resources they need to achieve economic strength and mobility. Our mission has always been clear: to advance equity and justice in our communities through five key pathways—Advocacy & Leadership Development, Education, Economic Development, Health & Well-being, and Housing. Today, we are proud to be one of San Diego County’s leading providers of comprehensive services, impacting nearly 100,000 lives each year. Our work continues to evolve as we adapt to the changing needs of the communities we serve. Whether it’s helping new immigrants find their footing or lifting families who’ve been left behind in San Diego’s economic growth, our goal is to reach and empower everyone. Through our programs, services, advocacy, and leadership development, we work to create lasting change. We open doors, build leaders, and help shape policies that create opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels. This past year has been remarkable, filled with significant milestones: $1.4 million in housing assistance in partnership with the City of Vista, the Blue Shield Promise Leading the Way Award for Equitable Access to Care for helping Medi-Cal recipients maintain their benefits, and the grand opening of Ventana al Sur, which now provides homes for 101 seniors in our community. These achievements are a testament to the impact of our work in building communities, leaders, and pathways to economic mobility.Tonight, we come together to celebrate the stories of those we serve. From a graduate of our Nosotros recovery home who returns every year to play great music, to MAAC Community Charter School students preparing for life beyond high school, to a mother pursuing her dream of becoming an early childhood educator—each story reminds us why our work matters. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that every participant has the support and opportunities they need to thrive. We also celebrate you—our valued partners, supporters, and sponsors. Your commitment allows us to provide these critical services and transform lives across the county. Together, we are building a stronger, more just San Diego. We are honored to have you as part of the MAAC familia and deeply grateful for your unwavering support.Sinceramente,Arnulfo Manriquez President & CEO

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2024Abt O Organization Founded in 1965 by a group of community leaders, MAAC was created to address the growing hunger and poverty affecting their neighborhoods. Originally focused on serving the Mexican American community in southern San Diego County, MAAC has since expanded its reach. Today, while honoring our Latino roots, we work to promote equity and justice for all communities across San Diego County—from Fallbrook to San Ysidro, and from the Imperial County line to the coast. At MAAC, we empower San Diegans to create the lives they want and deserve. Our services center on five key areas of focus: Advocacy & Leadership Development, Education, Economic Development, Health & Well-being, and Housing. Through these pathways, our dedicated team partners with individuals and families to meet their immediate needs, plan for a brighter future, and advocate for policies that uplift their communities. Every year, we proudly serve nearly 100,000 people who walk through our doors. We stay closely connected to San Diego’s evolving needs by collaborating with our program participants and key community partners. By addressing gaps in resources and seizing opportunities to advance those we serve, we remain committed to making a lasting impact.Interested in getting involved? Visit us at MAACproject.org.
