For more than ve decades, we have remained focused on transforming lives through our ve pathways of service: Advocacy & Leadership Development, Educaon, Economic Development, Health & Well-being, and Housing. Tonight, aer a two-year hiatus, we are excited to celebrate the thousands of lives that have been changed because of our work. The past few years have had a signicant impact on all of us. Children, youth, adults, seniors, and families of color experienced disproporonate harm to their livelihoods, which worsened preexisng disparies in socioeconomic outcomes. MAAC connuously evolves to meet the needs of the community, and this me was no excepon. We kept the doors open during this me of crisis and connued to be the crical partner that San Diego has relied on for decades. Among many other accomplishments, MAAC provided $4.6 million in direct aid to families impacted by COVID-19 and ensured equitable access to vaccine educaon and support for more than 45,000 people. Our workforce development program grew exponenally as we trained individuals for careers in healthcare, nance, and other elds to secure living-wage jobs and opportunies for advancement. We launched our electric vehicle educaon and loan program for low-income families, which received greater demand and support than we had originally ancipated. MAAC also conducted extensive research, which will inform policies to create access to BIPOC homeownership. We’ve also held groundbreakings and grand openings for aordable housing – with many other construcon projects underway. Through it all, I am proud to say that we have delivered services to nearly 100,000 individuals every year and have not once lost sight of our mission: to be a strong ally and support system for all San Diegans.I will never re of thanking MAAC sta at all levels and posions in the organizaon for their unwavering dedicaon. When our region needed us most, they were on the front lines making sure we connued serving our community. Their commitment is inspiring.Tonight, we also celebrate you—our partners, supporters, and sponsors. Your commitment to our community allows us to provide services and resources to those who need it the most. Together, we connue to transform thousands of lives for the beer. On behalf of the MAAC familia, thank you for your ongoing support.Sinceramente,Arnulfo Manriquez President & CEO

Everyone has important places to go. So we invented low-fares to help them get there. And with all the places we’re going next, we’ll always put you first, because our love of People is still our most powerful fuel. Some say we do things dierently. We say, why would we do things any other way? Without a Heart, it’s just a machine.Southwest Airlines® is proud to support MAAC!© 2018 Southwest Airlines Co.

Tag Us In Your Soirée Photos!Administrative OfficesConnect with UsAbt Us Abt Us MAAC was founded in 1965 by a group of community leaders seeking soluons to the increased hunger and poverty in their community. At the me, the organizaon focused on serving the Mexican American community and was based in San Diego County’s southern region. Today, MAAC builds on its Lano roots as it works toward equity and jusce for all communies throughout San Diego County. From Fallbrook to San Ysidro, and from the Imperial County line to the beaches, MAAC supports San Diegans who need a guiding hand as they work to create a beer life for themselves and their families. Our reach is wide because San Diego’s need is vast.Focusing on the areas of advocacy & leadership development, educaon, economic development, health & well-being, and housing, the MAAC team partners with individuals and families to address their immediate needs, create a plan for a brighter future, and encourage them to advocate on behalf of policies that help them and their communies. We proudly serve nearly 100,000 people who walk through our doors every year.To stay in tune with San Diego’s ever-changing needs, we work closely with our program parcipants and key partners. Our organizaon prides itself on addressing gaps and taking advantage of opportunies to advance the communies we serve. MAAC has come a long way in the half-century that we’ve been around, and yet our focus has remained constant through the years: to assist individuals and families create the lives they want... and deserve.
