Ray Vaughn - Wounded Bird CD

The newest album from San Francisco-based rocker Ray Vaughn may be called Wounded Bird, but he’s really more like a phoenix rising from the ashes of a forgotten San Francisco music scene. Wounded Bird picks up where his last solo album left off, and now Ray Vaughn’s songs have grown from the more stripped down singer/songwriter arrangements of Way Down Low to full-band productions. Ray is back to his old prolific tricks with Wounded Bird. Both producer Michael Rosen and Ed Rawlings returned to the project, and new additions include James DePrato (Chuck Prophet) on electric, slide and acoustic guitars, baritone guitar, dobro and mandolin, Kevin T White (Chuck Prophet) on bass, and Prairie Prince (The Tubes, Todd Rundgren) on drums. A response to and extension of Way Down Low, Ray Vaughn’s new album Wounded Bird features eight powerful tracks that leave the audience in a cathartic and contemplative state—wondering, “where has he been for all these years?”

Lucid Fly - Building Castles in Air CD

LA based prog rock outfit Lucid Fly began life in the early 2000's in Orlando, FL, where they cut their teeth on the southeastern club circuit, growing their fanbase with every city and market they hit. Eventually band mainstays Nikki Layne and guitarist Doug Mecca decided it was time to pack up and move across the country to LA, where they met drummer Aaron Ficca (ex Macy Gray) and laid the groundwork for Lucid Fly v2.0. The band has become a top draw throughout southern CA and has expanded their touring route through AZ, NM, TX and NV. In 2014 the band was hand picked by Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Adrenalin Mob, etc) to take part in the "Progressive Nation at Sea" cruise, performing on the New Millenium Stage alongside 16 other artists. With their fourth release - and first full length album - 'Building Castles in Air,' the band has turned to reknowned studio wizard, Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, etc) to mix and master the album.
