100 The History of OCERS – This virtual course is a 30-minute read that will cover how OCERS came to be. You will discover the history of the relationship between OCERS and The County of Orange. There will be a review quiz that follows in eureka. (eureka – U of O)100A OCERS’ Relationship to the County of Orange – This virtual reading passage will help you to understand the early beginnings of OCERS and how the passage of AB1992 on June 27, 2002 made OCERS an independent district. (eureka – U of O)101 OCERS Board of Retirement – In this 30 - 60 minute virtual reading section, you will gain a deeper understanding of who the OCERS Board of Retirees are and how they play an essential role for OCERS members. (eureka – U of O)102 OCERS Mission Vision and Values – This 20-minute virtual reading section will define OCERS vernacular used to describe how Team Members can actively uphold OCERS’ commitment to Superior Service to members. 104 What We Do – A brief video segment to provide an overview of HOW our defined benefit plan is calculated. (eureka – U of O)104A OCERS By The Numbers – A 40-minute virtual version of the latest OCERS Annual Report. This report provides a wealth of information about OCERS, including the retirement demographics, retirement benefits, and funded status. (eureka – U of O)104B Our Participating Employers – A 15-minute virtual interactive module that will introduce our Participating Employers and quiz you on them at the end. (eureka – U of O)105 One Team Serves All – This 25- minute reading module has an organizational chart to help demonstrate how our two working groups: County of Orange & OCERS Direct partner to serve our Members in a multitude of ways. 107 Tools and Resources – A 30-minute read with a complete guide and list of things to help you in the daily life of OCERS. You will learn about different resources and how to access them on the platforms where they are hosted. You will learn how to access: SharePoint, Payroll hub, EAP (Employee Assistance Program), County Calendar, Paid Time Off, eureka, UPP (University Paid Partnerships), and The Team Member Directory (Phone list). (eureka – U of O)108 What You Need to Know – In this virtual module, you will find several sections to help you through useful information such as: Active Shooter, Sunshine Laws (Brown Act, PRA). Knowing about things like Harassment Prevention, Diversity-Equity & Inclusion, and Code of Ethics help to procure best business practices and relations. IMPACT – This Collection of curricula is intended to help new and existing employees that are new to; or aspiring to be in supervisory and leadership roles. 200 Know your Role in Collaboration – It can be difficult to find your place when collaborating with others. Identify four questions you can ask yourself to clarify your role in any collaborationA brief 5-minute video and answer exercise. Leaders with a strong mixture of emotional awareness, self-management, and social skills can relate better to those around them. Emotionally intelligent leaders navigate relationships more effectively and are more likely to be successful in their personal and professional lives. This course provides an understanding of why emotionally intelligent leadership is important. It also provides practical, positive techniques for promoting and improving emotional intelligence as a leader within your business environment. A 30-minute video and answer exercise. (eureka – U of O)203 Persevering at Work - A video lesson meant to teach you how perseverance can drive achievement and increase personal fulfillment. While learning key terms like stickability, grit, and pivot, the viewer will understand the importance of persevering through struggles during one’s career. 204 Transitions Guide Tool Kit – This self-paced guide provides tools and resources for any leader transitioning to a new role. Resources focus on transitions related to the business, leadership, and your team. Additional resources for individuals transitioning from peer to boss or first-time supervisors are also included. (eureka – U of O) 205 Managing Role Transitions Video – A 2-minute video. Transitions matter! How you manage them impacts the exiting employee as well as the team. 211 Own Up to Your Mistakes Responsibly – This 3-minute video helps leaders with the ins and outs of interacting with their team, including contributing to meetings, asking questions of colleagues, and managing their commitments. (eureka – U of O)212 Lean Six Sigma Principles – GREEN BELT – This 7-hour virtual course with video and quiz exercises helps leaders to gain a solid foundation in the methodology, principles and tools of Lean Six Sigma.
