No dogs on the lake beach between Memorial Day andLabor Day. Cunningham Falls State Park is located in the picturesque CatoctinMountains of Thurmont, MD, 30 minutes north of Frederick. Thisbeautiful state park is full of nature trails and water locations perfectfor portraits. The park is open year round and can be a cooler locationduring the hot months. The changing atmosphere makes it a greatspot for annual photo sessions. The actual Cunningham Falls can getcrowded along the tourist area, however weekdays are much lesscrowded. Golden hour evenings for softer lighting.Located just minutes from Downtown Frederick, Rose Hill Manorprovides a 43-acre history park, beautiful gardens, a 1790s manorhouse and additional historic buildings. One of my favorite spots is agorgeous willow tree along a creek on the property. Beautiful goldenevening light adds to the spectacular atmosphere of this location. BEST FOR:BEST DAYS/TIMES:DETAILS:

Daytime for action and water play. Golden hour forportraits.Located in Jefferson, MD (less than 30 mins from DowntownFrederick), Catoctin Creek Park consists of 138 acres of parkland. This isa wonderful location for water-loving dogs to have an action photosession. Short hikes to most locations in the park remove you from thecrowd of the Nature Center.
