WelcomeOn behalf of the entire LiveOn NY family, it is my honor towelcome you to our 34th Annual Conference on Aging & VendorExpo–the largest and leading aging conference in New YorkState. This year’s theme is ”Speak Up, Speak Out!”Now, morethan ever, our collective advocacy and action is essential tocatalyze systems change to advance community-based servicesforward, which are essential to make New York a better place toage. LiveOn’s Conference will be a hybridevent, featuring acombination of in-person and virtual programs that will provideyou with more flexibility to grow, connect, collaborate, engage,and build power to move our sector forward. Our Day 1 in-personsessions will feature:An opening general session, with a distinguished panel of•experts, who will discuss Prioritizing Community Care:Why It Isn't Happening & What Needs to Change.Two concurrent breakout sessions, designed to build•community and leadership: Building Our Future: Career Tabletop Discussions•with New York's Leaders in Aging Services which willfeature seasoned leaders in aging hosting tabletopdiscussions about their diverse career paths andexperiences.Building Our Agenda: What It Will Take to Advocate•for Community-Based Aging, an interactive,facilitated session where attendees will work withcolleagues to build policy platform ideas to LiveOnNY's policy agenda. An “Advocacy Action Room” whereattendees can learn•more about key systems-level issues, connect withcolleagues and advocate in real time to elected officials toadvance our collective work.

On Days 2 and 3, we will host a total of 12 virtual workshops,several which offer Continuing Education Units. These workshopswill cover key issues aging professionals regularly face, includingFederal and State policy round-ups, elder law for caregivers,providing trauma informed care, and best practices to buildculturally diverse, inclusive services and communities.We are grateful that many of you have made this event atradition each year.
