Theevent featured notable guests, including Dr. Mansoor AhmedBalouch and Prof. Emeritus Dr. Kanwal Ameen. Vice Chancellor MajGen Muhammad Khalil Dar highlighted LGU’s achievements andurged graduates to lead with integrity. A total of 33 medals wereawarded, alongside 19 PhD degrees in Islamic Studies and Urdu.Graduating student Farwa Malik shared her inspiring journey. Themeeting, attended by faculty,department heads, andadministrators, highlighted theuniversity's commitment toacademic excellence andinnovation.

8The University’s Office of Research,Innovation, and Commercialization(ORIC) and the Business IncubationCenter (BIC) hosted a workshop on"Intellectual Property and PatentWriting," led by senior patentexaminer Ms. Shakra Khurshid fromIPO Pakistan. It provided studentsand faculty with crucial insights intointellectual property rights, thepatent application process, andpatent claim drafting. 10Lahore Garrison Universityhosted its 8th IndigenousRobotics Workshop, a two-day event aimed atinspiring future roboticsengineers. Organized by theFaculty of ComputerSciences and GEARS, theworkshop combined theoryand practice. On day one,participants learnedfundamentals, includingmicrocontrollers likeArduino UNO, sensors, andactuators. Day two focusedon hands-on activities,where participantsassembled robotic systemsand programmed Arduinoboards. 11LGU hosted a collaborative event with Game Train, offering studentsindustry exposure through a hands-on MERN Stack workshop led byMr. Zubair. This session taught 6th and 8th-semester SoftwareEngineering students skills in MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js,enhancing their job market competitiveness. The event also featureda company introduction, skills assessments, and interviews withGame Train recruiters, providing insights into industry expectationsand career opportunities. 12The Department of Chemistry held aworkshop on December 17, 2024,called "Harnessing ArtificialIntelligence in Academic Writing,"led by Dr. M. Fayyaz ur Rehman. LGU's Green Initiative: AwarenessWalk and Seminar on SmogExperts Highlight Smog's Impact and UrgeSustainable PracticesThe Environmental Savior Society and Department of Biology at LahoreGarrison University organized a seminar and awareness walk onDecember 10, 2024, to highlight the hazards of smog and promotesustainable practices. Over 150 students and faculty attended the event,featuring expert talks by Dr. Zafar Iqbal (Environmental ProtectionAgency Punjab) and Dr. Dur-e-Shahwar (ACS Registrars Pakistan).Participants later joined a campus walk to emphasize the importance ofclean air and eco-friendly living.13

Students Gain Hands-On BiotechnologyExperience at AB MauriOn December 17, 2024, the Department of Biology arranged anindustrial tour to AB-Mauri, Lahore, for 7th-semester students. Thetour focused on industrial applications of biotechnology andmicrobiology, where students learned about yeast production andexplored internship and research opportunities.
