The course meets the State of Florida boating safety certificate requirement, is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, and is designed for anyone who either owns or operates a boat or may be a passenger in a boat. We began at the Chihuly Collecon, a stunning, permanent collecon of worldͲrenowned glass arst Dale Chihuly. The installation is uniquely set in a building specifically designed to enhance his artwork. Aer lunch at The Lure, we visited the Morean Glass Studio for behindͲtheͲscenes demonstraons of resident glass arsts creang disncve works of art. At the nal stop the namesake of the Duncan McClellen Gallery greeted us with a presentaon about his philosophy and the mission of DMG School Project, which is similar to MRAG’s mission. It is a mulfaceted program sharing the art of creang in glass through classes, lectures, school tours, arsts' residences, free glassblowing demonstraons, and programming for inner city school kids. "The DMG School Project is able to bring the excitement of Arts Educaon to children and adults alike." Aer a walk through the gardens, his assistant, Jake, demonstrated glass sculpng by creang a horse from a blob of molten glass. Guild members are assembling baskets for the Rae at the Art & Cra Show on November 11, from 10am to 4pm.
