Plus, they will have mentors in the local church or community to help support them in their study. The program will be broken into three levels; each level lasts one year and contains ten sessions of learning. The dierent levels will help meet the needs of a rapidly changing church landscape. Level 1 is DISCIPLESHIP and is designed for the individual who says “I want to deepen my walk with Christ.” Level 2 is LAY LEADERSHIP and is designed for the individual who want skills to serve in the ministry leadership of a local church more fully. The Lay Ministry Training Program assists in the spiritual development of individuals and enhances knowledge in areas of biblical knowledge, theology, worship, mission, Congregaonal history and polity, and others. This program seeks to enable eecve lay ministry that is disnctly Congregaonal. Instructors will present material through a virtual plaorm and allow for online discussion between students and instructor. Classes will be led by qualied clergy and church leaders of the NACCC who will bring their training and experse in the ministry to students aending their class. “The Lord has blessed so many of us with educaon and wonderful careers to raise our families. He now blesses us with an opportunity to enter the lay Ministry Training Program for Him!” — Rev. Bill Mulholland, Pastor, The Yoked Parish of Becket, MA The Naonal Associaon of Congregaonal Chrisan Churches (NACCC) has undertaken a new eort to bring Lay Ministry training to its churches. The Lay Ministry Training Program (LMTP) has been carefully revised in an eort to include;  more acve parcipaon,  experse from current ministers,  exibility, and  technology, which could make a signicant impact on NACCC member churches and communies for Christ. The Lay Ministry Training Program is created for individuals who wish to gain skills with a goal of helping their church and its ministries. Educated lay ministers and/or lay leaders can be extremely advantageous to a local congregaon. Trained lay minister can benet your church by:  Providing help in the pulpit  Assisng with church programing  Caring support through visits and pastoral care  Pastoral leadership Lay Ministry gives people tools to super-charge God’s gis for serving in Christ’s name. OVERVIEW Lay involvement has always been at the heart of the health of the Church. Paul writes his leers in part to encourage and empower healthy, local churches. In our own me, seminaries have been closing and many churches are shrinking, so the importance of Biblically and theologically educated lay people is crically important to the growth of the Kingdom. Kathy Vsetecka and Linda Shaw With more small churches, the need for gied lay leaders has never been greater. In fact, the involvement of gied, lay people is key to the health of every church. Many churches can no longer aord a full-me, seminary-trained pastor, and, though God will raise up lay people to pastor, where will they get the addional training they need to be eecve? PURPOSE PROGRAM Jerey Kauman
