OUR MISSION LATA is a non-for-profit organization established in 1979 whose primary goal is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the Lima area. LATA is a Community Tennis Association member of the USTA. We develop and offer programming for youth of ages 5-17 as well as adults. LATA strives to develop players’ tennis skills, thereby benefiting individual personal fitness, health, and welfare. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS LATA has awarded local high school seniors a monetary scholarship for continually volunteering at the Collett Street programs. In addition, scholarships are given specifically for further tennis development. This program is provided as funds allow. OUR PROGRAMS Summer Tennis Camp ∙ LATA Winter Camps ∙ Tennis Fun Nights ∙ Lima Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Junior Tournaments ∙ USTA Sanctioned Tournaments MEMBERSHIP LOVE TENNIS? Then you’ll love being a member of LATA. Our programming is for all age groups. We are an energetic mix of students, seniors, singles, couples, and families. Enjoy vigorous exercise, expert instruction, tournaments, and good fellowship with new friends. OUR FUNDRAISING Our continued success would not be possible without our yearly membership drive. Local business sponsors and individuals generously donate to LATA. OUR MEMORIALS In honor of tennis advocates in our community, LATA coordinates with the Lima Parks and Recreation Department to acquire and plant trees, as well as install park benches at the Collett Street Tennis Courts in memory of those we’ve lost. @latatennis LATA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association. Donations are tax deductible.
