CAMP LA SCUOLA11As educators, we know how much children love to be celebrated on their special day and how much their classmates enjoy to celebrate their friends. We have established a special tradition at La Scuola that is meaningful to the birthday child and also exciting for their classmates. For each child’s birthday, the children can pick a healthy special recipe to prepare in class. This will take the place of that week's cooking experience. Food not prepared in school is not permitted. Cakes, cupcakes, juice boxes, etc. are not permitted in order to respect children’s allergies and the healthy eating habits of our families. In addition to cooking on the day of their birthday, students will be invited to create birthday cards and/or birthday notes to be given to the birthday child as a gift. Please arrange with your child’s camp teacher or contact the school office at least 2 weeks in advance. We feel this tradition brings into light what is really important about a child’s birthday, celebrating their uniqueness and letting them know that they are loved.SUMMER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
