A d m i n i s t r a t i o n Jonathan Swanson is principal at Century High School This is his third year at Century with previous time as principal at Villa Fundamental Intermediate School He has also been an assistant principal at Valley High and Segerstrom High His background in teaching is as a math teacher where he taught middle and high school math in Southern California Dr Swanson loves sports He played soccer and basketball in high school at a small school in Santiago Chile Prior to that he grew up in a suburb of Chicago Illinois so all of his favorite teams are from Chicago Dr Swanson is excited for this season of girls basketball and would like to thank all of the coaches and players for their hard work and preparation Go Centurions Jonathan Swanson Principal Jesus NuNEz Assistant Principal My name is Jesus Nu ez and it is a pleasure to have recently joined the Century family as a new member of the administrative team Prior to being at Century I was a classroom teacher for nearly 10 years all with SAUSD I am also proud to share that I am a product of SAUSD and it is a privilege to be able to serve my community Thank you for your support of our Lady Centurions Basketball team all student athletes and our entire Century High School family ThisisCentury 4

Matt Cavanaugh Athletic director I am proud to be the athletic director here at Century Our coaches are among the hardest working people on campus often among the last to leave from Monday to Friday and among the few people on campus on the weekends Being part of an athletic team provides a context for learning many of the most lasting lessons that life can offer Whether your role on the team is as a star athlete or an enthusiastic teammate the opportunity to learn and practice team work personal effort resiliency responsibility and self discipline each day with your teammates and coaches will leave your life much richer for the experience We are especially proud that many of our coaches are Century graduates who continue to give back to those who are next in line Their hard work and shining examples of positive accomplished adults provide a path that can be followed by all regardless of challenges and personal circumstances We invite you to be part of Century athletics Start today on the work of becoming an excellent teammate It lasts for a lifetime We are once and always Century Centurions Lisa Kunzman Athletic Trainer Since the Spring of 2005 I have worked at Century High School as the Certified Athletic Trainer I am a graduate of UC Irvine and I have been certified as an Athletic Trainer since February of 2004 Prior to working at Century High School I worked at Costa Mesa High School and UC Irvine I wish all the Century Girls Basketball teams good luck in the 2019 2029 season Go Lady Centurions Johnny Lueras Athletic Equipment AtteNdant Johnny Lueras has been the Athletic Equipment Attendant at Century High School for over 30 years He has always been happy to help all students and coaches throughout the years Johnny is an important part of all sports programs and none more than the Lady Centurions Basketball Program Good Luck to all the Athletics sport programs Go Lady Centurions 5

COACH DAMIAN BARRERA GIRLS BASKETBALL HEAD COACH I was born in Buenos Aires Argentina and raised in Los Angeles and Orange County I received a degree in Accounting from Cal State Fullerton Class of 2010 I am a Certified Public Accountant CPA working in government as a Senior Tax Auditor My goal as a coach is create a program and culture that inspires young girls to become strong young women that will lead transform and inspire a community The 2019 2020 is filled with great anticipation and determination as our varsity team has put in an unprecedented amount of hard work in the offseason This group of young women are such a close and powerful team Their sportsmanship and dedication to playing this beautiful game the right way is truly unbelievable and incredible to watch each and every day This group has been putting in an unbelievable amount of hard work since the Spring and it is a joy for me watch them grow before my eyes COACH FERNANDO CEJA GIRLS BASKETBALL VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH My name is Fernando Ceja this is my 6th year as a coach with the girls basketball program Before this season I coached the girls frosh team for 4 years and have now been called up to assist with the varsity team I graduated from Century in 2011 and played 4 years of basketball and volleyball These young ladies have been working really hard and I am eager to watch them succeed on and off the court GO LADY CENTURIONS 8

COACH VINCENT AVILA GIRLS BASKETBALL JV ASSISTANT COACH I have been apart of the program since the 2014 15 school year working with the JV team I was inspired to coach Centurions after working with them in the classroom as a tutor and now as the Site Coordinator for the after school program This season is truly something special because the amount of effort put forth by all members of the team Culture and character are key focuses for this years program and our young ladies actions on and off the court always speak volumes I cant wait to see how much they will grow over the season and the rest of their lives COACH SANDRA GUITERREZ GIRLS BASKETBALL FRESHMEN HEAD COACH I graduated from Century with the class of 2017 While in high school I played tennis and basketball and it was through these sports that I learned a lot about character and teamwork Upon graduation I started working on campus as the administrative assistant for the e Business Academy I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Supply Chain Management from Cal Poly Pomona and am set to graduate by 2020 This being my first year coaching the frosh level I am honored to be a part of such an esteemed program that works to empower and inspire young women My goal is to help every player realize and fulfill their potential I wish to instill the strength and provide the necessary guidance for our girls to achieve greatness I am excited for what this season will bring and can t wait to embark on this journey with my team COACH FATIMA VAZQUEZ GIRLS BASKETBALL JV HEAD COACH Hello everyone my name is Fatima Vazquez I am a second year coach here at Century high school I am and always will be a Centurion at heart considering the fact I graduated 2015 Throughout my high school years I was a triathlete and was awarded with the plaque of female athlete of the year This basketball season I am extremely excited to see how far these you ladies will develop not only on the court but also off the court I believe they are a great groups of girls that not only help and motivate one another but also deeply support one another I am very grateful for this opportunity and hope as a program we are all able to have a great season 9
