Webcor Concrete has been integral to the overall success of many of our landmark projects. Webcor Carpentry provides rough carpentry and interior finishing throughout a wide range of markets for projects of all sizes and complexity. TOM LABONGE HEADWORKS WATER COMPLEXSAN JOSE, CAThe Los Angeles Department of Water and Power's Tom LaBonge Headworks Water Complex Program is a 15-year project featuring the new construction of a reservoir storage facility and flow control station, in addition to site restoration at the Headworks spreading grounds, a 43-acre site adjacent to the Los Angeles River. The project features an East and West reservoir, with capacity for 54 and 58 million-gallons of water, respectively. The flow control station consists of four new structures. Finally, the project also includes restorations across the 43-acre site, which will bury the reservoir structures under three feet of soil and native vegetation. THE BLOCLOS ANGELES, CAThe Bloc, located in Downtown Los Angeles, received significant renovations and seismic and tenant improvements across the colossal mixed-use destination. The 1970s complex now features a fully renovated Macy's, over 150,000 square feet of premium retail, dining, and entertainment venues surrounding a multi-level, open-air plaza, refurbishments to the 33-story oce tower, as well as the creation of 235,000 square feet of public spaces in the Sheraton Hotel. MOSCONE CENTER EXPANSIONSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe Moscone Center Expansion is a steel hospitality project that reconfigured the convention center’s North and South Exhibit Halls to increase exhibition space. Designed by SOM and Mark Cavagnero Associates, the project includes four levels above grade and one level below grade. The project increased contiguous exhibition space, and provided ballroom, meeting room, retail, and support spaces. Complex sequencing, scheduling, and pedestrian-safe access measures were put in place to accommodate the center’s full convention schedule during construction.The improved Moscone Convention Center provides more space for visitors and prioritizes sustainability. It creates less carbon emissions per visitor than any other major convention center in North America, saves more than five million gallons of water annually, and generates clean energy with the largest rooftop solar installation in San Francisco. NEWARK CIVIC CENTERNEWARK, CAPerkins&Will designed the Newark Civic Center, a steel project built from the ground up. This design-build project consists of three structures, each with one or two levels above grade, and surface parking spanning 130,300 square feet and containing 324 stalls. The project's primary goal is to convert an existing administration building into a new city hall, which includes upgrading the administration tower, expanding the library, and adding a state-of-the-art police building.The library is now 10,000 square feet larger than its previous iteration and has dedicated areas for teens and children and ample meeting space and maker space. The new police building consolidates all station operations into one facility and houses an emergency dispatch center and a training facility. Lastly, the project introduced a new public plaza that serves as a multifunctional community event space. IMAX WEST COAST HEADQUARTERSPLAYA VISTA, CAThe IMAX West Coast Headquarters is a CM-GC project consisting of a single structure with three levels above ground and one below ground, designed by Gensler. It also includes connected parking totaling 36,030 square feet with 143 stalls. This multi-functional space houses various facilities, such as oces, conference centers, two large screening rooms, a formal pre-function area for private screenings and production facilities, and an interior amphitheater. The elliptical outdoor courtyard provides movable seating for spontaneous gatherings, activities, and special events.The facility's grand lobby connects two workplace floors by an interior atrium with enclosed glass conference rooms above. The atrium is a three-story bleacher space with a sizeable skylit area in the center of the facility, serving as a crossroads where people can see each other from all floors and use the bleachers for informal and formal sharing. GENISIS MARINABRISBANE, CAGenesis Marina, designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, provides Class A laboratory and oce spaces, a restaurant, and commercial recreation spaces over an open parking structure. It includes three structures, each five-levels above a two-story podium garage. The project is the world's first precertified TRUE Construction Site, adhering to zero waste and circular economy principles. Unforeseen conditions include refuse at the foundation layer that did not meet compaction or bearing requirements and oversized debris. The team developed a cement and lime treatment plan for the existing soil to meet compaction, significantly reducing the cost impact of added scope. Large debris was sorted, avoiding o-hauling as Class II while maintaining environmental standards. SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION HEADQUARTERSSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Headquarters is a CMAR project consisting of a single structure with 13 levels above grade and one below, designed by KMD Architects. Designed to last 100 years, the building includes an innovative post-tensioned and self-centering structural system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition center, emergency operation center, childcare center, cafe, and public exhibition/education center. The new headquarters consolidated the commission's several hundred employees into one building. Sited within San Francisco’s Civic Center Historic District, the new landmark provides a dramatic modern sculptural contrast to the center’s neoclassical vernacular, and complements the center’s other modern, post-modern, and contemporary buildings. FAIRMONT CENTURY PLAZA HOTEL CENTURY CITY, CAThe Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel is a 16-story historic hotel designed by Gensler. The project includes 363 opulent condominiums and 400 hotel keys. Connected parking spans 379,845 square feet and accommodates 4,016 vehicles. The project is a historic restoration, expansion, and seismic retrofit of the original Century Plaza hotel, designed by Minoru Yamasaki.The hotel's uppermost floors have been reimagined to oer 73 luxury condominiums. The Fairmont Spa Century Plaza is a vast, 14,000-square-foot oasis featuring nine treatment rooms, a sanarium, aromatherapy steam rooms, a hammam, and a Himalayan salt room. The property also oers almost 24,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and a grand 13,000-square-foot ballroom. CONFIDENTIAL SOCIAL MEDIA CLIENT PARK TOWER TISAN FRANCISCO, CAThis 45-level high-rise tenant improvement project for a prominent social media client, confidential in nature, oers interconnecting stairs, flexible workspaces, private oces, conference rooms, five cafe/dining floors and exterior balconies to accommodate the needs of more than 4,500 employees. Proactive communication with tenants and thorough logistics planning enabled Webcor to complete the project while the building was occupied, without interfering with occupants. Construction activities such as major duct work, concrete floor grinding and utility tie-ins too place after hours to avoid additional disturbance. SAMSUNG SEMICONDUCTOR INC. SAN JOSE, CASamsung Semiconductor Inc. (SSI) is a hybrid concrete-steel project designed by NBBJ. This campus-style development comprises three structures: two 10-story oce towers with a series of green floors, a podium building with a clean room and data center, a single-level cafeteria, and a nine-level parking structure. With a total area of 636,000 square feet, this project provides ample space for recreation, with gardens, fitness centers, putting greens, and recreation courts.To create a flexible, collaborative, and sustainable campus, we utilized modular and prefabricated construction methods for various aspects of the interior scope. These methods include using o-site manufactured partitions and modular to create interior oce spaces, conference rooms, and individual workspaces. The curtainwall panels were also prefabricated o-site, shipped to the site, and installed with cranes. SFO CONSOLIDATED ADMINISTRATION CAMPUSSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe SFO Consolidated Administration Campus (CAC) is a steel ground-up project designed by Perkins&Will. This progressive design-build project comprises one structure with four levels above grade and associated surface parking. In 2015, SFO's expansion resulted in the dispersion of airport sta throughout the campus, which made it dicult for them to collaborate and connect across departments. SALESFORCE EASTSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe Salesforce East building, designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, LLP, is a high-rise oce structure consisting of one building with 27 levels above ground and three levels below ground. The building's design emphasizes an open-plan workspace concept with concrete and glass construction, a side-wall service core, stormwater collection, and underfloor air systems. The building features 11-foot exterior glass walls, high ceilings, and ample natural light. The impressive open-air entry lobby boasts a three-story LED digital media canvas and spans 50 feet in height, contributing to the vitality of its surroundings.The lobby, often called the "urban living room," features a 90-foot cantilever with 90 feet of sliding glass panels, providing a seamless transition between the public and private areas. The lobby has a café, restaurant, amphitheater seating, and flexible spaces for pop-up events. UC MERCED 2020 EXPANSIONMERCED, CAThe UC Merced 2020 Expansion project’s design team comprises SOM, WRNS, HOK, Page Sutherland Page, and Mahlum Architects. This Design-Build/P3 project aims to accommodate 10,000 students by 2020 and includes 14 structures that serve dierent purposes. The academic space program spans 373,400 square feet and provides lab/research, instructional, and academic oce space. The Student Life program totals 115,500 square feet and includes health facilities, enrollment, dining, and recreational facilities. The expansion includes 420,570 square feet of outdoor space, featuring competition and athletic fields. The student housing program aims to address the existing and future demand for on-campus housing and includes 1,700 beds. The project also includes a stand-alone parking facility with 1,571 stalls. BEAUDRYLOS ANGELES, CABeaudry, designed by Marmol Radziner and LARGE Architecture, is a towering structure with 56 levels and 64 stories when below-grade parking levels are included. It comprises a 543,110 square-foot podium and 791,843 square-foot tower, housing 785 market-rate apartments ranging from studio to three-bedroom units above an 814-stall garage. The tower oers various amenities, including an outdoor pool, rooftop deck, gym, pet spa, and game room. It also features small commercial spaces and a staircase access point to the adjoining shopping mall, Figat7th terrace, and 8th Street. CONTRA COSTA COUNTY ADMIN BUILDING & JAIL ANNEX DEMOLITION AND REDEVELOPMENTMARTINEZ, CAThe Contra Costa County Admin Building & Jail Annex is a design-build project, designed by Perkins&Will. The project totals 65,194 square feet throughout one structure with three levels above grade and a public plaza. The parking garage includes 70 spaces. The new administration building features oce spaces for various public work entities. This project has received TRUE Zero Waste pre-certification and is pursuing TRUE Silver certification and LEED Platinum®.The project includes the demolition of the 1903 historic county jail and administration building to make way for a new, reinvigorated administration building and outdoor plaza. The new facility features a number of salvaged materials from the historic structures including granite blocks from the jail repurposed as seat walls and paving throughout the new public plaza and perforated wood panels and marble wall panels from the administration building. SYMANTEC CORPORATION OFFICE COMPLEX & PARKING STRUCTURELOS ANGELES, CADefined by innovative architecture and functionality, Symantec's corporate campus boasts 1.2 million square feet and includes two oce buildings and a standalone parking garage. Designed by HOK, the project is environmentally friendly, and achieved LEED Gold®.The project includes a reinforced concrete lateral system, which consists of shear walls at the core and moment frames at the perimeter.
