Australian Dollars (AUD)can be exchanged for Euros at banks or currency exchange bureaus.Travelers should note that if you are carrying more than 10,000 AUD or EURin cash, you must declare it upon arrival or departure. The exchange ratemeans that 1 Australian Dollar is typically worth less than 1 Euro—approximately €0.60. Travel cards and debit cards are widely acceptedacross Germany, though it’s still useful to carry some cash, especially forsmaller purchases or in rural areas.TIPPING/GRATUITIESTipping in Germany is appreciated but more low-key than in some othercountries. For all Continental arranged activities and dining, tipping will betaken care of by the hosts. For when you enjoying time at leisure - Inrestaurants, it’s customary to round up the bill or leave a tip of about 5–10%for good service.
