rosemary fennel Antimicrobial Opens the lung passages to help you breathe and expel mucus easier Great for a steam inhalation Can be used fresh or dried Helps break up hard mucus when there is a dry cough Simmer 1 tbsp crushed seed in 1 cup water for one cup of tea Also great for gas bloating and abdominal pains related to digestive discomfort herbal steam Put hot not boiling water in a bowl or pot and anise Add a 2 3 tablespoons of thyme rosemary sage or smashed raw garlic OR add 1 2 drops of an essential oil rosemary sage lavender tea tree orange clove eucalyptus are all great choices Put your face over the bowl pot and the towel over your head to make a tent over the pot keeping steam and essential oils in cough syrup Make a tea as above Breathe deeply and relax Strain and add cup honey or sugar Stay here as long as possible adding more hot water when necessary Take a teaspoonfull when dealing with cough

fire cider thyme A warming immune boosting antimicrobial expectorant Strong Antiviral and antibacterial The base is apple cider vinegar with ingredients like Expectorant helping to expel thick mucus from the lungs Great as a tea or a steam inhalation preparation you can make at home This folk medicine has been used to fend off colds and flu for generations garlic ginger onion horseradish chili peppers rosemary thyme sage and lemon peel Get creative and make your own version to soothe respiratory tract and help relieve cough and open airways Can be used fresh or dried how to Chop ginger garlic turmeric onion peppers horseradish or whatever ingredients you have on hand to roughly the same size Add them to a ball canning jar Break up herbs zest or mince lemon peel or sprinkle dried herbs into the jar Fill the jar to at least 1 2 full but not all the way to the top Cover your ingredients with apple cider vinegar making sure to leave at least an inch of space at the top of the jar sage If you have parchment paper lay a piece between the lid and Antimicrobial Strain the vinegar into a clean jar If desired you can add Drying for a wet cough Great for teas and steam inhalation fresh or dried jar Screw the lid on tightly and label with the date Infuse the vinegar for at least 5 days shaking a couple times a day Keep in a cool place in your kitchen You can infuse for up to 3 weeks if desired an equal amount of honey creating an Oxymel You can also add some apple and or lemon juice for taste and an extra boost of vitamin C Store in fridge to help it last longer Take 2 Tbsp 2 3 times daily as a shot If you don t use honey or sweetener it will be warming and spicy hence the name Fire cider
