ABOUT KIDS CASTLE Our Story Just minutes from the county courthouse and historic district of downtown Doylestown tucked away in the scenic hills of Doylestown Township rises a majestic and fantastic playground known as Kids Castle Inspired by the castles of Henry Chapman Mercer this nationally recognized and award winning playground has attracted children locally and nationally since it was constructed in 1997 Phase II Build the Kingdom The Kingdom is the entire play area that surrounds the castle inside the fence line Our goal is to create an inclusive fully accessible playground so children of all ages and abilities can have a place where they can play together and have fun This Kingdom at Kids Castle welcomes everyone Work on Building the Kingdom at Kids Castle has already begun New play pieces continue to be installed as funds are raised and when sponsorship commitments are made Progress can only continue through your financial support 8 Keys to Inclusion Physical Sensory and Social Activities Multiple Challenge Levels Elevated Play Grouping of Activities Pods Rooms and Zones Unitary Surfacing Routes and Maneuverability Fun for Everyone Inclusion is essential for the future of playgrounds when considering the high number of people affected by disability in the United States According to the United States Census twelve percent of the population has a severe disability that affects at least one function of daily living but this group of people does not live in a vacuum they have parents siblings and grandparents who are involved in their daily lives So in actuality more than thirty six percent of the population one in three is touched by a severe disability Disability challenges how affected individuals and their families go to school go to work and even spend the day at a park Play nourishes every aspect of a child s development that is necessary for success in school and in life Through your financial support the Kingdom at Kids Castle will provide this opportunity to learn through play for all children Contact us Now to Help www SaveKidsCastle org info SaveKidsCastle org
