If keeping plants alive just isn’t in your DNA, there are other options for you. Self-watering planters are great for those areas that aren't connected to your irrigation system. These planters contain an internal reservoir to store water and only need to be filled once a week or even bi-weekly depending on the environment. They also include a water gauge which lets you know when you need to refill them. Nearly Natural faux outdoor plants are made for the outdoors and UV exposure. This is a great option to use if you want a larger plant to fill up a corner or hide certain areas without the care and mainte-nance of the real deal. Keep Plants Maintained & Lush One of the keys to creating an inviting outdoor living space is incorporating potted plants on your patio. Using a variety of plants in both sizes and foliage not only provide the outdoor feel, but help to soften up edges to make your space cozy. Keeping plants watered and pruned properly will encourage healthy growth and blooms. Succulents are my go-to patio plant. They require little care, thrive in planters andcome in many different sizes and varieties. They also propagate very easily. Just break them off at the stem and stick them in the dirt to start a new plant. 1 Lechuza Self-watering Planters CLICK TO SHOP CLICK TO SHOP CLICK TO SHOP CLICK TO SHOP Nearly Natural Outdoor Faux Plants

Yes, your outdoor living area is just like any other room in your house . It will require cleaning from time to time to keep it entertaining-ready. A handheld leaf blower is key for a quick clean up. Think, vacuum for outside. Dust, debris and leaves are part of the outdoor experience. Having a leaf blower in a nearby cabinet or storage piece makes freshening up the area quick and easy. Microfiber cloths are great to use on furniture and other surfaces that need a fast onceover. I also keep these close and convenient in my storage cabinet where they can be reused multiple times. Even though outdoor cushions are made for the outdoors, depending on the quality & grade of fabric, some cushions will wear faster than others. Even something as simple as tipping down back cushions on top of the seat cushions when not in use can help keep the seating surfaces clean and ready for use.

3 Adding outdoor pillows to your furniture is a simple and inexpensive way to bring colors into your outdoor space or switch up your color scheme. Playful patterns mixed with solids and/or stripes give your space personality and creates an inviting look. When selecting textiles for your patio, choose a mixture of styles, texture, and sizes. Also, make sure your selections are outdoor-grade. Indoor fabrics will fade and won't hold up to the elements over time. Everyone knows outdoor furniture can be expensive and although most furniture out-door furniture is made to withstand the elements, the best way to get longevity from your investment is to keep it covered when not in use during the offseason. When searching for furniture covers, it's important to ensure they have proper vent-ing as well as tie-downs. The brand of outdoor furniture covers I recommend to my clients and use myself is Classic Accessories. In addition to covering your furniture, I also recommend you take cushions inside whenever possible as well as outdoor rugs or pillows. Even the highest quality cushions and outdoor fabric are subject to dew or condensation which can collect on the inside of furniture covers. If your cushions have the smallest amount of dirt or dust on them, the dirt can mold and stain your cushion fabric. 4Protect your Investments How to store and protect your outdoor furniture and accessoriesCLICK TO SHOP CLICK TO SHOP CLICK TO SHOP
