It was great to see many of you at our Grandparents Day celebrationon March 8. This special tradition never disappoints! It gives firstgraders a chance to express their affection for their grandparents orspecial family friend. The day began with a beautiful prayer service inChurch. Everyone then headed to the Playdium for a picnic lunchpacked by mom and dad. The day concluded with a fabulousperformance by our first grade class. Dressed in their finest, theysang, danced and recited poems showing love for grandparents. On May 4, 70 2nd graders received the sacrament ofFirst Holy Communion. They spent the school yearpreparing for their big day and did an incredible jobof singing, praying and receiving the body of Christ.Fr. Boland who presided over Mass gave eachcommunicant a special surprise, a rosary blessed bythe Pope as a special keepsake to commemorate theday. It certainly was a memorable one!The Good DaysMay Crowning First Holy CommunionWe honored our parish patroness, Mary, Our Lady of PerpetualHelp on May 10. Our new communicants led the May Crowningprocession in their First Communion attire followed by theClass of 2024 dressed in their graduation gowns. After scripturereadings and a homily from Fr. Boland, Mary was presentedwith flowers from our grade level representatives. Our 8thgrade court, placed a crown of flowers on Mary's head.
